Friendly staff and very helpful.
Nothing, it was all good
The service was impeccable, all appliances were new and in perfect order. The stuff was friendly. Probably, all other hotels in Japan are just as clean and well organised, it seems to be a Japanese thing...
The hotel claims that they are 3 minutes walking distance from the station and it was a main reason for me to chose it. It is not true. Google maps show that this hotel is 5 minutes from the station, but it is also may not be true. And if you take a wrong exit (because there are no directions in English) and if you have heavy luggage, as happened to me, the distance becomes unbearably long. I made a very long circle on arrival because of poor signage, and locals had difficulties recognising the hotel address. That first experience left a very bad impression. Also I read that there are many eating places around the hotel. It is also not true. However, there is a Family mart next door, and Seven 11 a little bit further away: they provide a good choice of cheap and good quality quick meals. All other restaurants are in hotels, and/or are expensive. There is a good choice of restaurants along the railways, but it is quite away from the hotel, after the metro station. I would have chosen a different place if I had to make a hotel choice again. There is nothing for a tourist in this area.
Good value, location
The bed a bit too soft for my taste
Pillows are really think please have more comfy pillows
In the middel of Tokyo but a bit on the lowdown therefore great ;) Only a 10 minute walk to Akihabara and much cheaper then the APA akihabara hotel. The bars around Asakusabashi station were cheap and had lovely food. The rooms are small but new and clean the beds are comfortable. I saw a lot of bad comments about the size of the beds but judging from experience the beds are 140cm for a two persons, def big enough for two adults. Everyday cleaning and the amount and replenishment of amenities was one of the best of all hotels we stayed in in Japan. (Or anywhere really)
There was no real place to put a large suitcase and/or unpack it and put it away. If you’re two traveling with one big one you’re ok putting it under the desk and there’s 6 clothes hangers and a chair to hang clothes. But add one more suitcase an it gets tight. We put our second suitcase next to the bed upright with only souvenirs etc stuff we didn’t need easy access to like a side table, but a small suitcase table or cabinet would have been appreciated. It was really the only complaint we had.
