Small hotel in Taormina, good localization, good price, great hospitality and personnel. Very tasty breakfast, great view from the room. Very good price/quality ratio. Highly recommend to go if you do not expect luxury but still want a nice place to sleep in Taormina.
Hotel would need redecoration, the bathroom was clean but not modern standard, same as the room, but was ok for two night stay.
The breakfast was good, toasted bread, ham and cheese, cereal, yoghurt.. continental breakfast, the staff were very nice and the check-in/out was really fast. Highly recommended
This was an all around OK hotel. Nice staff. I thought I could do better for the price so I changed to another property but it was not as good and I wish I had stayed here. My room was on the bottom floor partially overlooking a gas station with only glimpse of the sea. I should have tried to upgrade to a better room.
It was an uphill walk to the main tourist area and the bus station. But Taormina is on a hillside so you can't avoid steep walks.
very friendly staff, room is spacious, good view from balcony, quite
take roughly 7-10 mins to walk to center of old down, but manageable for some uphill exercise..
When we wanted to use the shower (and the word “shower” in this hotel means a shower head and a shower curtain, there are no edges) in the evening when we arrived, we quickly noticed that the water was flowing all over the floor in the bathroom – the shower was apparently obstructed. We immediately stopped the shower to avoid water to flow to our room. We went downstairs to the reception to notify them about the problem. The guy at the reception did barely speak/understand English, he told us he was only here for the night and could not offer us any solution, we needed to wait until the day after and come back to the reception to mention the problem again to the manager the next morning. After we showed our dissatisfaction regarding this proposal, he gave us a couple of towels that we were supposed to use as a barrier for the water which was flowing away… We asked to get another room or just to be able to use another shower, but this was not possible because the hotel was “fully booked”… In order to further be able to use our bathroom that night we needed to clean up the water by ourselves, otherwise it was not even possible to reach the sink or the toilet. The next morning we mentioned the problem to the manager and told him about the only “solution” which was offered the night before, he came to our room to see the facts but did not offer any other practical solution. Luckily we were only staying in the hotel for one night, so we left it very unsatisfied!
