7,1 Good
Pros: Good service, delicious breakfast (minor improvement suggestions: coffee could be improved, orange juice is not fresh). The staff was very kind and caring. Unfortunately it was rainy for the duration of our 2 days stay and so we didn’t get to do anything really. They have a nice souvenir shop and we killed some time there. The cafe terrace by the beach serves very delicious snacks and if the weather permits, it is very pleasant to sit outside. This is a very quiet place rather for seniors or families. There is no breakfast after 10:00 and no dinner after 21:00.
Cons: The water buffaloes...I wish they weren’t tied up by their noses on a rope. Also one of them was always just sitting and I was wondering whether it’s because it is old or ill
10,0 Excellent
Pros: Very nice room upgrade, we had a really beautiful room (sea view)! The beach was also very nice and beautiful. Staff was very welcoming and extremely helpfull. We really like this resort for a few days!!
Cons: Not all the staff speak English (just like the rest of Japan). We weren’t able to dive because the dive masters couldn’t speak English. If you’re English speaking be aware that you can’t dive here or get your license here. If you are a really experienced diver they can make an exception, but overall you can’t dive here if you don’t speak Japanese.
10,0 Excellent
Pros: Brilliant resort. Amazing location and we had a fantastic sea view from our room. Loved the little touches like the carts to drive around the resort and down to the beach.
8,3 Excellent
Pros: Nice beds, nice outer terrace at our room, Private Resort beach, Nice and calm, friendly staff
Cons: I'm not really a fan of 'all you can eat'- buffet restaurants. Not really cosy dining. But the food was good. And everybody drives golf carts .. (noisy & not good for nature)
10,0 Excellent
Pros: Very friendly hotel employees, nice beach, good restaurants (incl. cafe, bar and even a local store). Sea is stunning with high tide, book a trip for snorkling and visiting other islands if you stay long. Rooms spacious and nicely isolated, didnt hear any neighbours. Sea view worth it.
Cons: Too many families with small children but they have adults only restaurant as well.

Cons: Staff good. Food overpriced and awful. Beach filthy.

Pros: wonderful
Cons: Everything is good
7,5 Good
Pros: The service is good, as well as the hot spring. Room was quite big. Although the location was on the other side of the island, the recommended tourism agency was able to cover almost all island, just takes more time for transportation.
Cons: The English speaking staff is not always there, so there is some communication problem. But all the staff is quite nice and helpful. There was an ant hole in the room, that explains why there is always any and different kind of bug bodies in the room. We found it in very late stage and the staff helped us to deal with it. But it is Iriomote, nobody can blame about the nature. Dinner is not good compare to the price or other same level hotels.
9,6 Excellent
Pros: Great for English visitors. Staff speaks adequate English and was exceptionally helpful. Couldn't have made the amazing Trip without his help. The stand-alone house was great but the upstair room has an hell of a view. We stayed in room 301. It's near the Ohara Port.

Pros: The pool
Cons: The beds
7,0 Good
Pros: Open space is very scenic with a direct view to the ocean, especially the pool area.
Cons: No WiFi in the room. We found a small spider and a gecko inside the room. Dinner was good but not worth the price.
7,9 Good
Pros: This is a very nice place to stay, quiet area on the island and situated near the center so you're close to everything in either direction. Pool was very nice, but you are unable to swim after dark.
Cons: We were unaware you had to reserve dinner a day in advance and thus didn't get a meal the night we checked in. The man running the front desk was not very friendly; not mean, just terse. The beach is not really made to go down and swim at.
7,1 Good
Pros: pristine dwelling conditions.
Cons: - caution slide when you shower. i cannt find the mat over the bathroom. - No lamps for reading. my staying one night there just bump into typhoon. certainly no outdoor activities hence then i was about to read something. there's only a 'eco' lamp beside the bed . and that is the only light source there.
7,5 Good
Pros: Nature around. The villa was superb. Breakfast was nice.
Cons: That I didn´t receive an info in advance that there is absolutely nothing and I better should prepare to buy water etc. But after I claimed I got free water from them - so there was solution. The beach was full of garbage which came through water - but beaches are not owned by hotel so not their fault.
8,3 Excellent
Pros: We had a traditional Okinawan dinner and breakfast & they were both delicious. Was great to try some new food. The room, restaurant and pool area were beautiful, and we loved the quiet location, it felt like we were really away from it all. The staff were very kind too, they gave us a lift back to the ferry port. Really nice stay.
Cons: The hotel is right on the beach, and it's idyllic in every sense, however I was so shocked to so see how much plastic waste there was the whole way up the shore, you couldn't enjoy the beach at all. I don't know if this is owned by the hotel so it may not be fair to write, however it just deeply saddened me to see the effect humans are having on such a beautiful secluded island and I couldn't think about anything else. All I wanted to do was clean it up!
4,6 Okay
Pros: The food is good but expensive for what you eat and to do not have any other options close by.
Cons: It’s funny that a hotel with the word ‘eco’ on its title has got a dirty beach full of garbage next to. They didn’t pick us at the ferry terminal on time, actually they forgot us and we had to call them after waiting for 20 minutes. The place is not worth it for the price you pay for it. The staff didn’t speak English or try to in order to help us.
6,3 Good
Pros: The hotel was set in a beautiful location and the pool was great to swim in and relax by. My room was comfortable and spacious. The meals served at the restaurant are huge and I felt bad not being able to finish all of it. They offer a pick and drop off service to the ferry port as it’s quite a distance from anywhere.
Cons: The staff could have been more friendly on arrival. I didn’t feel overly welcomed. Some other foreign guests who were staying there had some trouble as they couldn’t speak japanese and so I helped them but this could be a problem. The breakfast is traditional Okinawan style which I found a bit hard to eat in the morning. A western option would be nice for foreign guests. My room was a little unclean in parts, just surfaces that were dusty and the outdoor seating area hadn’t been swept. For the price I paid I would expect it to be spotless. There was also no hand soap provided. The beach directly in front of the hotel had quite a lot of rubbish (plastic bottles) on it which was disappointing and I would think someone would make the effort to clean it up. There are no shops or other restaurants nearby which I knew before arriving but it something to consider for others. If you don’t have a hire car you may have some trouble.

9,2 Excellent
Pros: The owner is a lovely man who will go out his way to recommend places to eat and take you / pick you up which is helpful. Great price on car rental too. We stayed an extra night because of the typhoon which wasn’t a bad thing at all! Yummy home cooked breakfast, nice lounge to hang out in with fast WiFi and the cutest little tortoises in the garden. Easy walk to a gorgeous beach and next door to traditional and great lunch place. Can walk to Uehara port along the beach or road easily but not with luggage.
Cons: Just an FYI we didn’t get a lift from ferry but this is offered for free when you get your tickets in Ishigaki port so no real issue.
4,6 Okay
Pros: Accepted 1 night stay. Breakfast was nice (but very early, and owner came and knocked on my room to wake me up). Owner was pleasant.
Cons: It looks MUCH MUCH nicer than it is in reality, both the rooms and the physical grounds. It is actually more like a dorm room than a nice pension. Room was not clean. The owner is nice but the price is about 100% more than it should be...maybe because we only stayed 1 night the price was so high.
10,0 Excellent
Pros: Lovely little room surrounded by beautiful gardens. A stone's throw from the swimming beach. Attentive owner who wants to ensure you enjoy your time in iriomote. Great breakfast to start your day.
10,0 Excellent
Pros: The owner couldn’t have been more helpful with our plans and sorting things for us, the location is really great near a beautiful beach, restaurants, and also a jungle river to explore by boat.
10,0 Excellent
Pros: Ito is an amazing host. Best one I have ever had. Friendly, nice and kind. He helped us a lot, first with the Typhoon and then once we were there in the island to arrange everything. We also lost our wallet and he helped us a lot. He knows all about the island and can give awesome tips. The house is massively beautiful, we will never forget that experience. Will come again for sure.
Cons: Nothing - all was excellent.
9,2 Excellent
Pros: Nice room with beautiful garden, really nice home made breakfast. Owner is really helpful and nice
10,0 Excellent
Pros: My girlfriend (who was pregnant during the stay) and me have really good memories about our time at pension Iriomote. The location is superb, close to the beach and with a wonderfull garden. The breakfast is by far the best we’ve had so far in Japan and superfriendly host Ito helps you out with everything if needed: getting around, activities, finding restaurants while taking into account our pregnancy. we would for sure come back here next time we come to iriomote!!!
9,2 Excellent
Pros: A quiet relaxing atmosphere centred around a colourful, palm-fringed garden. The proprietor (Ito-san) was most welcoming and offered transport for local outings and made bookings for two excellent, atmospheric restaurants. Urauchi river cruise/walk is close, so also is Hoshinosuna (starsand) beach, with easy fish-viewing even without snorkelling. Ito-san serves a tasty, well-presented breakfast by the garden.
Cons: Hot water is not available in the mornings. Access to a refrigerator for cool water would be useful.

Pros: The building is in the style of a traditional Japanese Ryokan and Kioko-san is incredibly friendly, knowing all the best places to go given a certain weather. Thanks to her we got to see coral on the first day, though we arrived at 16:00 and a sea turtle the second day. They also have their own fruit patches with bananas and pineapples that is served at breakfast.
Cons: Nothing to dislike about it.

Pros: The owner is really welcoming and very helpful! She is also a good cook.

Pros: We had a wonderful stay at Irumoteso. The host is very friendly. She helped us to organize the excursions and her food was excellent. Our room was very large and clean. We would warmly recommend this accommodation.
10,0 Excellent
Pros: We stayed for 5 nights in Irumoteso. - The host (Kiyoko) was the best we ever had. She was very friendly and profesional at the same time. She was very knowledgeable and helped us a lot (car rental, tours, bus and ferry timetables etc..). She even gave us a lift to the port when we left. She also speaks English - Dinners (cooked by Kiyoko) were amazing and absolutely delicious. Very well presented and with a variety of different dishes. We were always looking foward to eat there ! Breakfasts are also good. - The property is on a hill overlooking the sea with a nice garden. Perfect place to relax. The property is very clean and cosy. There is a lot of information displayed ( maps, timetables for buses and ferry etc..). There is a bus stop nearby and plenty of places explore nearby on a bike so car rental is not essential. It is also close to the port. - Our room (tatami) was super big and clean. There was a fridge also and A/C. Matress and pillows very comfortable. - We rented the bikes for a day and it was a very nice experience . In conclusion we loved this place!! Thanks for hosting us Kiyoko-san.
Cons: Everything perfect!!
10,0 Excellent
Pros: The host is super helpful and friendly. Very lovely lady who gets out of her way to help. She helps us find an agent for diving even in low season and drove us around. Very beautiful garden and sea view at the place. Really enjoyed it.
Cons: Everything is good. We just prefer to have Japanese breakfast instead of bread and egg. But everything else is good.
10,0 Excellent
Pros: Kiyoko-san is so kind and helpful! Dinners were all excellent, highly recommend.
9,0 Excellent
Pros: Kiyoko was extremely helpful and friendly - helped us arrange trips and took us to a local dance event. Food was very good and Kiyoko made vegetarian dishes for my husband
10,0 Excellent
Pros: We've visited Japan many times, but on Iriomote it was the best home among all that we stayed during last 10 years. Large bright room with a beautiful view and two conditioners. Comfortable bed, delicious dinners and excellent breakfasts. All this thanks to a wonderful, friendly and hospitable Kiyoko-san! We hope to come back some day :) Dear Kiyoko-san! Thank you so much for our wonderful vacation! We'll miss our beautiful room, the best bed we had in Japan and most of all your perfect and delicious food! We'll never forget our fantastic evenings with fireflies and origami. どうも有り難うございました!
Cons: -
10,0 Excellent
Pros: The view is very nice and the surrounding atmosphere perfectly quiet. English is spoken and the owner Seki-san will make it easy for non-speaking Japanese. Seki-san also contacted nearby dive center to arrange perfect 2 days diving. Lastly, Seki-san is a great cooker and diner is strongly recommended.
9,6 Excellent
Pros: The host Kiyoko was really friendly with us, and made our stay there very pleasant! There is much to do on Iriomote and after an active day on the island it is really nice to chill in the garden in front of the sea. The room was big and bright, with 3 big windows. We liked it very much there, and would surely come back if we have the opportunity!

8,0 Excellent
Pros: Have its own beach.
Cons: B/F there was a long queue to get a table.
6,3 Good
Pros: Staff were polite and the hotel location was good right in the middle of town and the airport so access was quite easy. They did help me organise a cake for my wife’s birthday ahead of time which was nice of them.
Cons: Indoor pool was dated. In all fairness it was bad weather during our stay so we couldn’t use the outdoor pool and beach which looked pretty inviting had it been a sunny day. Food was actually pretty bad and very expensive. We ate in the resort the first day and realised how poor it was and so we started eating out for the remainder of our stay.
9,6 Excellent
Pros: Facilities, staff and location.
Cons: A bit high price.
8,0 Excellent
Pros: Beautiful and comfortable rooms, great breakfast buffet, room service was good, spa was dreamy.
Cons: Location isn't great in that you have to get a bus everywhere and there's not really anything within walking distance. The restaurants are also very expensive for what you get. Also, as we went in the off-peak season several facilities in the hotel were either closed (e.g outdoor bar) or limited (e.g. spa opening hours).
9,0 Excellent
Pros: Evem though the stuff spoke english, mostly it was a broken english. So if you wanted to book or request someting it was a little challanging. But as it is in nature of Japanese people they will do anything to sort the problem. So overall the personel was great.
10,0 Excellent
Pros: exceptionally hospitable staff, probably the best location on the island

Pros: This hotel is about 2 mins walk to the ferry terminal, and walking distance to many eateries. Over our 5 nights stay here, we stayed at various rooms - the Japanese room with the tatami mats and futon, the Hollywood twin room, the port view twin room and the suite with terrace on the highest 13th floor. Tatami mats in the Japanese rooms are nice but the area is a little small and the futons are a little thin. The WC and shower are separated in the Japanese room. The Hollywood twin room and port view twin rooms are fine for 2 persons but a little tight for 3. Bathrooms are a little small to fit two persons in the twin rooms. There are only two suites on the 13th floor. The suite is way more spacious with the WC, shower and wash basin areas separated, a big terrace on the side and a balcony in front. The terrace and balcony offers a great view of the port and sea but the walls could do with a little repainting. We loved the buffet breakfast every morning. There is free flow Japanese food, Okinawa dishes, Western selection, good espresso, ice cream. The variety of fresh fruits can be improved. Another percularity is that they do not provide knives to butter or speed the jam on the toast / croissant. Breakfast may seem a little expensive but we soon realised that there are not many choices for breakfast outside the hotel, and for the amount we ate, it was definitely worth it. Over alternate days, some of the dishes vary, so we did not get sick of the food.
Cons: I was awakened up by noise from the port every morning if the balcony door was not closed. But closing the doors filtered out the noise significantly. All rooms face the port / sea and no rooms face inland. This also meant that there are no rooms on the other side of the corridor and as the corridors did not have windows, you will feel the weather immediately upon exiting your rooms. It is the same with the hotel lobby - you will feel the wind immediately outside the lobby doors. There are 3 TOP-load washers and 3 dryers at a sheltered but open-air area on the ground floor of the hotel. Each wash cost 300Y and every 30 mins of drying cycle cost 100Y. There is washing powder free for one to use. The washers are not exactly coin-operated - you need to turn on the washers then go to the lobby, pay 300Y, then will the washers start. So in cold and windy weather, do wear warm clothes when you do the laundry as you will feel the wind while walking back and forth. Despite paying for the dryers, they are really lacking in performance and the clothes are not dry even after 2 cycles and despite not overloading them. Both the washers and dryers are in need of updating.
9,6 Excellent
Pros: The building is immediately noticeable from the ferry terminal; the staff are very kind and attentive; our Japanese tatami room was gorgeous; the included breakfast buffet was a delicious and bountiful way to start our day!
Cons: We’re not as used to sleeping on futons on tatami as we’d like to be, so we had to double up the futon mattresses because one was too thin for our comfort. Also, the shoji doors to the balcony let a lot of light in at night. Other than that, everything was wonderful!
9,6 Excellent
Pros: Friendly check in/out. Nice selection of food for the breakfast buffet including all you can eat Blue Seal ice cream (ten flavors)! Excellent view of the harbor and amazing sunset from the room patio. The room itself is larger than most Japanese hotel rooms, closer to a US standard size. Free beer for choosing eco option housekeeping. A good value and only a very short walk to the ferry terminal for visits to Taketomi, Iriomote, and other islands. Free bicycle rentals available on a first come, first serve basis.
Cons: No ice cream available on our second day breakfast due to machine failure. Only one elevator to serve 10+ floors so we always had to wait an extra few minutes. We just walked down the stairs and only used it to go up after the first time. The furniture is a bit old and ratty, especially the table and chairs. It looks like people use it on the patio since there’s no furniture outside. Sound from other rooms, especially the dragging of chairs, reverberates loudly with the concrete construction and tile floors.
8,0 Excellent
Pros: Few minutes walk to shops and restaurants, and it’s in front of terminal to islands travel, bus and taxi access. Even my 87 year old mother handled walk and enjoyed sightseeing.
Cons: No coffee in the room.

Pros: Best view , super nice staff and good facility
Cons: None
2,5 Mediocre
Pros: Nothing positive to say
Cons: The hotel smells cigarettes in the corridor and non smoking rooms have a horrible and unsustainable smell. We asked to change. The next one was better in terms of odor but we we had to compromise on view. Staff knows zero English which makes things very difficult. Only a small swimming pool that is extremely noisy with loads of kids screaming. This is a children play, no one actually sunbathes. There is no beach!! So basically no way to escape or relax. On the website looks like there is a beach but there is not. It is the sea with some structure next to it. You can t swim there or sunbathe. Anything you do in the hotel is expensive. Food, drinks. Etc Not perfect in terms of location. Not in centre and taxis are expensive. Not a good spot for diving either. I recommend using eurodivers for diving. Super professional, but they are more north west. On last day we went to the inter continental hotel for the day, it was so good!! Many swimming pools, beach, staff welcoming and speak well English, nice common areas. The dream, it is slightly more expensive but would hve pid the difference if I had known.
8,3 Excellent
Pros: Awesome view, very quiet and very clean. The hotel and its staff were really nice.
Cons: The biggest and most serious complaint that I have is a big one. While I know that most Asian beds are firm, the ones at this hotel are absolutely terrible. They were by far the worst that I have ever experienced over the years in Asia. I might as well have slept on a granite slab. While you get two restaurants to chose from for breakfast, only the buffet was sufficient. The breakfast at Diego bar was really not good at all. I would suggest doing away with that option all together. Also the dinner restaurants and the spa on the premises were highly overpriced. I would definitely eat and have a massage out in town.
8,8 Excellent
Pros: The staff was extremely friendly and helped us with a lot of things!
Cons: None.
8,8 Excellent
Pros: Very relaxing seaside resort, good facilities, the public bath is relaxing. Breakfast is good too!
Cons: The swimming pool is a bit small
6,7 Good
Pros: The view of the hotel is nice. The structures look slightly old though. The buffet breakfast is good.
Cons: The food at restaurant 舟藏 is overpriced! Its quality is totally incompatible.
7,9 Good
Pros: Friendly staff and the location
Cons: Nothing really!
9,2 Excellent
Pros: The breakfast is really amazing! As a non-japanese, there were lots of selection and i was able to try local food. They change their breakfast menu every now and then which is good. They have 4 restaurants to choose from. The room is very nice especially the bathroom. There is japanese concert every night, so its a real Japanese experience. There is also complimentary shuttle from and back to airport.
Cons: The bed and pillows are so hard.

Pros: Almost everything. Although the hotel was under expansion, many workers were in and out, but customer service was still top notch! It was right beside the fusaki beach, the view was awesome!
Cons: swimming pool were closed after November I understand that they need it to close down for maintenance, but it was so hot during our stay, I wish at least kid pool was open. My 3 yr old son was so disappointed. Would definitely come again during summer!
7,1 Good
Pros: Nice decor, nice rooms and It’s location, the beach is nice right on your doorstop and the location of the beach bar is great a very nice place to sit and have a drink overlooking the ocean.
Cons: It was very noisy with lots of children there is no area to swim in the pool for adults and it’s so expensive. The beach was completely dismantled when we arrived as they were preparing for a typhoon which was a shame we didn’t get to see that area properly and swim in the sea. You had to book your breakfast slot which is too rigid for me and even then had to wait in a queue. View from balcony wasn’t great for the money you spend. It’s a lovely hotel but not sure it’s worth the money. Ishigaki hotels on the whole are very dated we stayed in quite a few. The best view by far is the seaside hotel near Kariba bay but that is in dire need of an update. That side of the island has much nicer beaches and better for swimming. Ishigaki is very depressing in a typhoon!!
7,5 Good
Pros: Modern and spacious rooms, Kimono for parents and children. Facilities for kids, pool, waterpark were great. Very clean.
Cons: Quality and choice of food was extremely disappointing. No fresh and/or healthy options, felt like fast food at all times. Too much single plastic use. Napkins/straws/wet tissues/plastic cups etc.
8,3 Excellent
Cons: Carpark too far away The room is too small given the price is not cheap
6,7 Good
Cons: Pool was closed.
8,0 Excellent
Pros: kind and nice staffs, nice room with terrace, nice breakfast with many japanese local foods, and very easy to reach to the beach located in the southern-west part of the island where you can enjoy great sunset and stars
Cons: i hope 1) the swimming pool can open even in the winter time 2) suggest the hotel shop can provide tax-fee 3) car park no 2 was closed during my visit, which the parking is just in front on the room (now has to walk about few minutes to take the car --- anyhow, not a big deal)

Pros: Location was beautiful, it will be wonderful when the building work is finished. Lovely beach.
Cons: The room was not as described, although, it may have been my mistake. Building site/work on two side of the room was unfortunate and really took away the opportunity to fully relax. The first morning I was informed that breakfast wasn't registered for my room, luckily my friend was able to help resolve this. The second morning was no problem. The breakfast has a very good selection of foods and drinks. Nicely prepared and presented.
9,0 Excellent
Pros: The location is right on the beach. Breakfast had an extensive choice.
Cons: We didn't know that there is no swimming from Nov- Feb.

Pros: Spacious, clean and great beach
Cons: Bit dated furniture and decor and public transfer not too often, but nothing to fo with hotel they were great, offered a dropping to local beach, thank you
4,0 Okay
Pros: The room, the view and the hotel (facilities) in general was great.
Cons: Welcoming young staff at arrival but very unfriendly when doing the check out. They even refused to print us a receipt for our stay. Also without a car, this place is difficult to access (only a couple of public buses per day) and no shuttle system implemented at the hotel.
10,0 Excellent
Pros: Front of the Beach Side and eating bfast with beautiful view outside the window♥️
Cons: Nothing to say
8,0 Excellent
Pros: Very nice, secluded location on a white sandy beach. Staff was extremely helpful despite some language problems. Will definitely come again
Cons: The room was only available after 3pm, which may make sense during peak season. During low season however, as the room was empty anyway, this waiting was unnecessary. Also, due to the humid season, towels and bed smelled a little. That could have been better. Ideally the room should also be non-smoking as a standard.
10,0 Excellent
Pros: The staff were incredibly friendly and helpful. The beach is gorgeous and kid-friendly. Not too many options to eat nearby but the hotel breakfast buffet is great. The cottages (in Kabira Village) have a great mix of privacy and convenience.
7,0 Good
Pros: Absolutely beautiful beach. Sunsets are amazing Food is also good, recommend taking the buffet as they probably adjusted all prices so that the buffet is only one reasonable option.
Cons: Our check-in was at 15:00 but we only got to the room at 17. The front staff was very polite and offered us to go to onsen to warm up. However we were tired and wanted to know why the delay took place. The villa had a strong smell. Although the team did proactively provide air purifier, it was still too humid and bedsheets smelled of mold? Or something similar. Also we had a huge spider in the room, and when I asked to get it "evacuated" the staff came and killed it in front of everyone...
8,8 Excellent
Pros: Beautifully located by the beach. I loved the view from the room. Great breakfast and nice staff.
Cons: The public bath needs some renovation. It would be useful if staff speak better English.
9,0 Excellent
Pros: Wow - great hotel Very clean and great staff Onsen was great Paradise
Cons: Music in lobby was a bit repetitive but otherwise I can’t fault this place
10,0 Excellent
Pros: The location, although removed, was incredible. The beach was glorious and it was totally worth it to stay farther away from the main port. We loved the cabin to ourselves, and enjoyed the beach views and remoteness.
Cons: An airport shuttle would have been great. The decor was a bit outdated, but it didn't take away from our experience. Really it was great, we had an awesome time!

Pros: Not the newest hotel, but ok for the price and location. Breakfast included a large choice of noodles.
Cons: Breakfast.
9,6 Excellent
Pros: The hotel is in one of the most convenient locations for great dining and visiting the other Yaeyama islands. I was thoroughly pleased with how easy it was to walk around and find an abundance of restaurants, cafés and izakaya within the surrounding area, all with great quality food. The hotel breakfast buffet with its "build your own soba" bar was quite the treat and really delicious! It's short though - from 7am to 9am - so go early if you want to get first pickings! If your looking for more Western-style food, this may not be the place for you, but I still recommend opening your tastebuds to the well-prepared Ryukyu-style of food served here. The lobby also boasts a complementary drink bar available 24-7 with local juice, a variety of bean coffee flavours and cold tea, as well as 4 selections of Ryukyu awamori that was really good! The second floor also had a small mini golf putting area that my husband and I enjoyed after a long day at the beach with some drinks in tow. The rooms were exceptionally clean and kept cool prior to our arrival. There are complementary toothbrushes, shower supplies, and even disposable razors. The bathrooms were clean and great; a very comfortable stay. Staff at the facility are very kind and accommodating. Even if you don't speak Japanese, they will do their best when speaking in English and help you out, so no worries with communication (most of the staff speak English well, they're just shy about it). Overall my husband and I really enjoyed out stay here and would happily recommend this hotel to anyone coming to Ishigaki!
Cons: Parking is available at a low rate of ¥500 per day. It was rather full the day we checked in and I think a bit limited for the number of guests staying with cars. However, staff was ready to help us find alternative parking nearby with the lowest rate in the area, complete with a guide map. Pillows were a bit too hard for me personally, but I was still able to sleep fairly well on them. Otherwise no real complaints.
6,3 Good
Pros: The crew is kind and helpful.
Cons: They have only 2 shitty bikes for more than 50 rooms. When we booked a room they promised a mobile phone for the accomodation but it was a lie.
9,2 Excellent
Pros: Excellent breakfast, a small bar with drinks. The table with small lotion packets and hand cream was also very thoughtful!
Cons: Pillow was very hard
7,0 Good
Pros: Breakfast is very Okinawa-style and I like it.
Cons: The lighting in room is a bit too dark, there's some noise around the TV area as well, may be the air-conditioner or may be the room next door.
6,7 Good
Pros: Location is good.
Cons: The room not light enough, too dark. My friends are no feeling well in every night.
8,8 Excellent
Pros: Super friendly and helpful staff. Bikes available for loan. Not in best condition, but those worked. Location was good. Close to many restaurants and shops, but still it was quiet and peaceful. Breakfast was good and the free Awamori was nice add.
Cons: Room had little bit funny smell. Don't know was there moist or something.
7,9 Good
Pros: Good breakfast buffet. Okinawa noodle
9,0 Excellent
Pros: Just a few minutes walk from the port. Quiet at night. Good breakfasts. Free coffee and bicycle loan.
Cons: The mattress was not very comfortable.

Pros: location is very good, and they provide car park, but it is very hard to park into no. 3-7. there is a supermarket and a restaurant opposite the hotel. the room is bigger than lot of hotel in japan.
Cons: um... only one thing. if they can provide the kitchenware without fee would be prefect.
7,5 Good
Pros: Staff is very nice and helpful. Location is good, just in front of Aeon mall and about 15mins away to airport.
Cons: Air conditioner is not working properly. Very smelly inside the room.
6,3 Good
Pros: The tatami area in the bedroom was perfect for our baby to crawl on (we did require extra blankets though to organise futon style bedding for our little one). Nearby shops and restaurants are a plus, we could find everything we needed. Nice beach just 10min by foot. Sign up (for free!) for WBF membership and you get a free coffee per day of stay! Basic but good value for money.
Cons: You are required to pay extra to get kitchenware but we managed without. Bathroom is a bit tiny but not worst than in other Japanese hotels. The close neighbourhood isn't great but not far from city centre.
6,0 Good
Pros: Location is good, it is half way between the airport and city centre next to a bus stop to each direction. Maezato beach is 15 minutes walk. Clean and friendly.
Cons: Parking was a bit of a pain, you need to go through the bus stop and park at quite a narrow space. There are only 2 bicycles at the property, 2 at all. We were four friends looking forward to going by bicycle to the beach and we were disappointed. The much advertised coffee was ok...
10,0 Excellent
Pros: The location is excellent! The room is bigger than the hotels. The tatami sitting room is so relaxing.
Cons: If the bathroom is a little bit small.

10,0 Excellent
Pros: The owner is really welcoming and very helpful! She is also a good cook.
10,0 Excellent

7,1 Good
Pros: Good service, delicious breakfast (minor improvement suggestions: coffee could be improved, orange juice is not fresh).

Pros: Staff good. Food overpriced and awful. Beach filthy.
Cons: Staff good. Food overpriced and awful. Beach filthy.
7,5 Good
Pros: wonderful
