The location and garden. Pool looked lovely, but they didn’t clean it after a storm, which made it unusable as it was full of rubbish that had flown into it. Shame, as was a lovely sunny day afterwards.
No hot water. Boiler worked intermittently at odd hours. No WiFi anywhere, even though the site says it has it. Most light bulbs in room dead. No coat hangers in wardrobe. No fresh bread; cold bacon and eggs; cold coffee at breakfast. Plastic cups at breakfast - not 4-star standards. They have a ‘quiet time 2300-0800’ written in the rules - one night a party with loud music and loud DJ until 0010. Manager did not respond to my questions re above, even after an email I sent. On reception the male member of staff was helpful and apologetic. The woman needs a lot of customer service training, as was rude and unhelpful. Food was poor, which in Sicily very unusual. There’s a great place down the road, which is really 4-star, so recommend it. Borgo Pantano.
The breakfast was normal but good. The room was lovely and the staff was friendly. The location was hard to find but worth the drive. They should elevators for transporting luggage by stairs was somewhat difficult. Gates at the hotel and being buzzed to get in, gave us a sense of security
Beautiful castle, beautiful room with unique style and big terrace. Awesome view. AC and good bathroom. Parking. Tasty breakfast. Nice pool and restaurant. The best linen in Sicily. I slept very good.
Kids area outside didn’t had shadow so was hot to use it. To go anywhere you have to take a car.
Need to improve service, facilities and breakfast; A/C was not working properly
Location and rooms are great Swimming pools are good too
Rooms are noisy - you can hear the next rooms Breakfast was poor on 1 day - no coffee hardly any food and NO plates or cutlery to eat with Dinner at the hotel is just ok - which is a shame as the place has real class. But is let down in a few areas
