Pros: What did we like? Everything....We were welcomed with a open fireplace in our apartment. The apartment was spacious, spotlessly clean and absolutely nice. The setup of Cases do Pastor is as if all apartments are one little medieval village. The view over the countryside is stunning. Our host Rui was one of the nicest Portugese hosts we met. Breakfast was superb too. There is even a small shop: you get the key to the door and can take whatever you need, just write it down and pay when you leave. We will most certainly return to this fantastic place.
Cons: What didn't we like? Nothing at all....
10,0 Excellent
Pros: The whole stay was amazing. We arrived late and it was absolutely no problem. The house we lived in was very nice, clean and has a character of a hut. Inside it was very romantic and we cooked our own meal in the evening and play chess - this we get from the owner. The location is for hiking in the Parque Natural da Serra da Estrela great - but you need a car first to get to the hiking trails. But the owner gives many advices and cards for hiking. The breakfast, the pool and the untypical location are fascinating. The owner is going to build some more very nice places for children in the next years. We were sad for staying only two days there.
Cons: In the night there were many dogs barking. You need ear plugs if you are sensitive.
10,0 Excellent
Pros: This was the most amazing experience! Amazing owner and host that could not have impressed us more with his hospitality. Loved the accommodation and setting. Best breakfast we had in Portugal. Highly recommended.
10,0 Excellent
Pros: - The view from the Chalés with the big window front is amazing. - The staff is very nice, friendly and helpful. - Perfect place to relax. - We could bring our cat.
Cons: The place exceeded our expectations, so we have nothing to add here :)
9,5 Excellent
Pros: The host is very helpful. He can recommend you nice hiking options and relaxing locations in the Serra Estrela. The charlet gives you an astonishing view over the valley down to Seia.

Pros: Rui the owner of the chales was wonderful! The place was just what we were looking for. Dinner also perfect. One of the best places to stay!
10,0 Excellent
Pros: Rui is a super host - because he super kind, nice, attentive, and helpful host. He made sure we were confortable and available to help every time we need help and/or information! The rooms are spacious, confortable for thefamy of four (we stayed in a 2bedroom house), the rooms are heared and he would bring wood/set up fire place every evening! Location wise there is lots of access to trails near by and close museums and on the way to the ski area! We would love to come back again!
10,0 Excellent
Pros: Everything. Great place, very nice people, swimming pool, breakfast, little shop, wonderful setting. Would recommend to everyone. We stayed only for one night during our trip but will keep very nice memories. Owner is a very nice, passionate person.
10,0 Excellent
Pros: Best rural accommodation ever. Everything one can ask for, comfort, relax, natural beauty, warmth in winter (fireplace!!) and excellent wi-fi! The help from Sr. Rui & family was awesome, there is actually no words to describe it. We will surely be back in summertime!
8,3 Excellent
Pros: Great location, beautifully reconditioned stone-village houses. Exceptional service. Rui was super accommodating with our last minute requests. Loved it.
Cons: Unfortunately our room had a strong smell to sewage. The smell came from the bathroom. Closing the bathroom’s door and lighting up the fireplace fixed the problem! :)

Pros: Swimming pool with salty water, good breakfast, very hospitable owners
10,0 Excellent
Pros: Fantastic in all aspects, expectations far exceeded!
10,0 Excellent
Pros: Casa de Santa Ana da Beira is a historic house, typically Portuguese, that has been very sympathetically restored, turning ground floor rooms that used to store wine, potatoes and other produce into charming and spacious bedrooms, each with its own en-suite bathroom. A good breakfast is in an airy, modern room overlooking the swimming pool. Hosts Paula and Joaquim are gracious and welcoming, and speak good English. We had a lovely night there.
Cons: I can't think of anything!
9,3 Excellent
Pros: Very nice traditional house with a beautiful garden, very friendly host

Pros: Fun fact, my room was in the hall that connects to the restaurant, big plus for that. Local cheese was extremely good.
Cons: The bathroom might get the floor wet due to the position of the shower.
10,0 Excellent
Pros: Wonderful location. Excellent view.
6,8 Good
Pros: The staff were welcoming and friendly. Bed was comfortable and shower hot. Fire in sitting room was lovely. Only stayed one night as driving through the area.
Cons: Basic decor. The room didn’t face the view and given the hotel was nearly empty, it was disappointing. The meal in the restaurant is a buffet and was ok. There were more choices for dessert than main course which were limited and basic.
8,8 Excellent
Pros: The Serra da Estrela is amazing
Cons: Probably a bit too expansive for the overall experience, but I guess the fact that there was a bicycle granfondo at the same time raised the price
8,3 Excellent
Pros: Fantastic location and views (when it's not raining/foggy). Free onsite parking. Check in lady was very nice and friendly.
Cons: No dinner. Was told the chef was on holiday, so they didn't do dinner. Had to go to shop/cafe next door and make do with a sandwich. Very disappointed, as I'd swapped from a hotel in Seia town for this mountain retreat experience. Mossies. Never imagined mosquitos would be that far up a mountain, got bitten to hell. Staff not very sympathetic.
Casa das Tilias - Historic House - Seia - Bedroom
9,1 Excellent (108 reviews)

9,5 Excellent
Pros: The ambiance of that old house was just amazing. I usually prefer to be in quieter places like my own room but the lounge felt so cozy with the fireplace and all that carisma it called to me. I ended up spending a lot more time there that normally expected.
Cons: Unfortunately the old carisma the house had was a little bit much when it comes to the beds. I could not move an inch, the bed creaked everywhere.
9,3 Excellent
Pros: The Casa is stunningly beautiful. We had our own quarters and it was very cozy and very comfortable, breakfast was very nice and the staff was very friendly. Our (very large) dog enjoyed its stroll in the garden, and sleeping by the fire stove. The location is excellent if you want to be close to Torre, where the Serra's summit and ski resort are located, yet still wish to stay in the foothills. What I appreciated very much, is that the owner posted back to us an item which we had left behind.

Pros: I came to Seia because I wanted to visit the information and research center of Serra d'Estrela. Highly recommend it! Eurosol Seia Hotel is a hidden positive surprise: although it's address is located at the main road, it's very quiet pleasant place. The building is a bit down from this road and much smaller than the front Sides of the buildings on the main road. the building with the rooms is situated in quite a distance from the road also. So you ca have a quiet sleep, in the morning you get a good breakfast with a rich choice of everything. It's got an elevator to access upper floors with your luggage. The rooms are large. Easy to park the car on the Hotel parking space. And, most conveniently, a very good restaurant is under the same roof. Very helpful staff. Stayed there in June, and there were mostly Português guests.

Pros: Good value for 3 room apartment in the centre of town and near a supermarket. Simple breakfast included. Only thing to note- up 6 sets of stairs so not good for elderly or disabled.
