Awesome, relaxing visit... couldn’t ask for a more beautiful location or nicer staff
No rain, lol
Location is gorgeous! On the grounds of the Sunnybrook Trout Club. Tucked away off of a main road, it's a truly unexpected gem. We don't fish, but it was lovely to stroll around the grounds, watch trout, and chat with the fishing folks. The lodge itself is beautifully furnished and maintained; our room was also beautifully furnished, clean, and comfortable. Trout fishing is the dominant theme, of course, but not overwhelming. The owner, himself, checked us in and out. Managers live on-site, available on-call; very pleasant, very helpful people.
Breakfast was good, but for me could have been better. All the breakfast meats were pork, including egg casseroles that contained ham or bacon. I would have preferred the option of turkey-based breakfast meats. Baked goods were commercial, not home made, which again, would have upped my rating from good to excellent.
Peaceful and relaxing spot, with well groomed grounds..... The owner and staff were so pleasant and helpful. Everything has been well thought out to accommodate your every possible need. The honor bar, offering chilled sodas, beer, wine, and snacks was so nice! The location is close to downtown and island access, as well. But you still have a very private and reclusive ambiance to your stay.

Everything was perfect. The staff was great, the grounds absolutely beautiful and calming, and the room was very comfortable. It was within minutes of everywhere but felt as though you were a world away. We highly recommend this place and will return someday.
