Poor breakfast and room service
The breakfast could have had more options
The views from the bedrooms were lovely - over a lake and the bedrooms and bathroom were clean. Owners were very friendly and tried to be helpful. The hotel is outside of the town but walking distance of some good restaurants - though not easy to walk as no pavement, very stony, which was fine in daylight but wouldn't want to go far at night. It was easy to get a bus to Hotel Llau Llau and then to the chairlift.
This hotel was not what we had anticipated and we would not go back. It was much smaller than we thought and would probably be classed as a bed and breakfast in the UK and the prices would be cheaper. It seemed as though everything was done on a shoestring. Breakfast was basic and ham and cheese was put out one slice at a time. The first morning the croissant was stale but this improved over the next couple of days. Towels were not good quality. We thought we had booked a 'spa' hotel. There is a jacuzzi next to the breakfast room with a sheer curtain screening it from the entrance. It was never on and not used - and it didn't appeal to us anyway. The facilities say there is a wine bar. There are two stools in the breakfast area at a short bar which was not staffed so there was no inclination to meet our fellow travellers for a drink before leaving for dinner. We asked for a bottle of still water one day and they didn't have any. The information says private balcony. It isn't private as there is only a chain separating the four bedrooms facing over the lake who have access to the balcony. Only one chair was available for the balcony. The information also says there is massage available and yoga. I expect if asked that Paula, the owner, would provide this but it was not promoted. There is a lot of purple/lilac in the colour scheme. If reclassed and more realistic description provided, I would not have needed to be so negative.
very friendly owners, warm welcome, quite helpful regarding trips around Bariloche. Facility nice and clean, nice and large rooms.
Breakfast was on the stingy side - no proportion with the price of stay. One piece of ham/cheese per person, Low quality bread. The name "SPA" is misleading - indeed a large tub stands there, but empty, and no suggestion to fill or use.
Peace and quiet of this wonderful place were what we were seeking. The view was the cherry on the cake! Luis and the team were so hospitable in making sure that everything was in order to make the most of our stay. Great insight into where to go/what to do and arranging trips.
Use of spa would have been a plus but in saying this we appreciate that with such few guests it was probably not worth running. In making this comment we must stress it did not impact on our stay.
