We stayed in the Lord Edward room during our stay. Cheryl and Dwight, the hosts, are a very nice couple. Since breakfast was mostly carbs and I am working to follow a weight loss plan (even while vacationing LOL) Cheryl was very kind to make me eggs during our stay. The waffles and French toast did look delicious. Dwight kindly moved our room from the second floor to the first so we would not have to manage the stairs. B&B is within walking distance to shops, downtown area, restaurants and waterfront.
The room and especially the bathroom were rather small. There is a lot of bric a brac in the rooms which is not to our personal taste. Parking is on the street and there is a time limit on how long you can park there during the daytime hours. St. John area seems to be in need of revitalization.
We had what turned out to be a fantastic flat, not a "room", with full kitchen, living room and a fantastic bathroom as well as a spacious bedroom. The location of the B&B is in walking distance of restaurants and the sights. Our hosts were very friendly and helpful, and they made a very nice breakfast. We also got into interesting conversations with other guests, at breakfast.
You have to be careful about parking, but it worked out just fine. From the outside, the building looks a little run down, but inside, the accomodation is of a high standard.
We had a "suite" which was actually an apartment that was spacious and wonderful. The pictures do not do it justice. The decor may be a little over the top for some but I thought it was well done. The washer and dryer were a great bonus and a full kitchen. Nice bedding and nice folks. The breakfast was lovely.
Only problem was the parking and it was tolerable.
The suite was amazing. Very comfortable & spacious.. breakfast by hosts was delicious..
The perfect place for antique lovers! We've never seen a Coke refrigerator before but we had one! so many other fantastic antique objects in our huge room. Very different! Good location and the staff very friendly!
The shower was exceptionally small!
