Horrible Last-Minute Cancellation – Unprofessional & Unreliable! I made a reservation with Routes Car & Truck Rentals well in advance, trusting that they would provide the vehicle I needed. However, at the last minute, they informed me that no vehicle was available, leaving me stranded without transportation. This is completely unacceptable and shows a total lack of professionalism and respect for customers. If a company cannot honor its reservations, it has no business operating in the rental industry. Their poor planning and lack of accountability caused me significant stress and inconvenience. I would never recommend Routes Car & Truck Rentals to anyone—avoid this unreliable company at all costs

This rental car never happen, we were frustated & helpless in the middle of the night, lot of people talking to us as they know we need car service badly, we were scared and panicking because of their aggresiveness, Routes doesnt have car available, customer service from kayak or priceline cant help either. I am in Punta Cana for only 4 days, took the cab for $35usd as finally routes promise That we have the car next day, still didnt happen. 2 days already gone. Now takes forever to process the refund. Imagine arranging schedule from work to take this off, scheduling kids at home before leaving, and this is what we get, Hearing apology & get refund is not going to compensate us.

I had to wait several hours after arriving to the rental center for an available vehicle, of which I had to find my own way to this offsite airport location because there was no shuttle or information available. Then my car that I was offered was not the car I booked. It was a compact car, not a compact SUV. It had a broken tail light, was dirty and the wire port was not working. I then returned the vehicle the following day to swap it with an available compact SUV. After two days, this vehicle had a check engine light come on and was making weird noises, along with front left headlight that was not working. I retuned back to the rental center a third time to report this and swapped it yet again for another vehicle due to concerns for safety. This took a lot of my time and effort that should not have happened.

Supplier choice
When I got to the counter there was nobody there so another company tried to call them and nobody answered. I waited 45 mins for a bus to go back to the rental car center. When I got there, there was no car available. They informed me that I could wait there until they got another car, which would probably be hours or they'd try to get me a rental with another company with the same rate. They came back with a rate $300 more than the rate I was quoted. It was an awful experience.
When I got to the counter, they told me, They didn’t have any car available. So I wasn’t able to rent a car even do I did the reservation and I got The confirmation. So the experience was really bad. I know it’s not your fault, but it’s just to review the people or companies you work with, thanks and I hope this comments help you.

When we pick up the car, they did not want to grant the price per the reservation. He insisted that the system was showing 150 more of what the reservation was made. We had to insist for him to check with his manager for him to find a way to fix. At the end the manager told him to fix it. But his attitude was unkind.

Interrent make their money from flogging you insurance. We bought a compact car for a week for $170 which was definitely too good to be true! The extra insurances they insisted you have cost an extra $190. And in addition the paperwork we received to start included a deposit of $170 which was reasonable, less so the deposit the pick up site demanded, of $800! The no-show up fee of $50 will be challenged but with the cabs to and from the hotel, was still cheaper than the extra insurances. Such a shame. Would not hire from interrent again.

My reservation was for 3pm. We got off the plane and through customs a few minutes early. When we got to the rental agencies desk no one was there...... for an entire hour! I called the number provided several times and no one would answer. Finally when dome did show up I was told I could use there insurance which I declined because I would use my insurance, I was then told I would have to put a deposit of $3000 down to use my own insurance. I was pissed so I did not even accept the rental car. We wound up taking a taxi to the resort arriving two hours late. NEVER AGAIN!

I will never use Sixt again. I pre-paid for a car rental. Two days before arrival I was informed that they had no cars, but they would help me - on arrival - to find a car from a different rental company. On arrival the desk in the terminal was unmanned. No one answered the phone at the other terminal. Only messages received were via WhatsApp. After over an hour I rented a car from a different rental firm. Sixt refused to initiate the refund until the day of my departure. The monies arrived today but the experience was awful.

We booked a car rental to be picked up at 9pm. The info we were sent said the rental place was open till 11. They actually closed at 7pm the girl said so we had to take a cab to our hotel then back to the rental place the next day to pick up the car. Plus still have not gotten a refund for the day we didn’t get the car

This was an absolute horrible experience. I booked the car and the cost was $598. I arrived at the rental car facility and they said they no longer had that car available and they could give him an upgraded car for $1100 and that I had no other options. I tried to reach out to kayak. But you have no way of getting ahold of anyone. I will never be booking with kayak ever again. You are a 3rd party who does not care about the experience. You are not willing to do anything to make sure the experience goes smoothly. Horrible experience with Kayak and EUROPCAR.

There were no cars available even though we had reserved months before. And no suggestions or prospect of a vehicle to come. Pretty terrible all around and nearly ruined our holiday.
