Breakfast was always great.
Dinner restaurants don't vary their menu at all, becomes very boring after 1week! without the option of Dinners at Blue Haven and Beach House, our 16 days would not have been good!Property is
We had an ocean-front suite. It was spectacular! Staff were awesome. Very friendly and professional
Absolutely nothing - it was perfect
Friendly staff Beautiful beach
Rooms smelled musty and moldy
The food here was great quality and amazing!
There was an initial problem with our room keeping us from checking in immediately but they provided us with another option and a complimentary massage. Would have liked a late checkout but the room was unavailable for a later time.
We had a great time at Alexandra Resort. The beach was just amazing(after the first two rainy days it was pure crystal clear waters) The beach - you can walk either direction. You do have to go early to get front row on the beach chairs but most days there were still few available by 11 AM. This was during New Year's Eve week so they were fully booked but I guess most people were at the pool! Better for us :) The Resorts: Alexandra Resort has two sister-resorts that you get access to as part of your All Inclusive. Beach House Turks & Caicos (make sure you check the exact name because there are lots of Beach House hotels). Thats adults only, has a very good tiki-bar/restaurant for daytime. It's about 20-25 minutes walk from on the beach, which we did pretty often since it was nice to walk anyways. They ask you to make reservations but we always found a spot at the bar or went during not busy times. This hotel was more romantic, calm... part of being adults only :) The second sister-resort is Blue Haven. Definitely not walking distance and is family friendly resort. We went for dinner so didn't really experience the daytime. The Salt Italian restaurant is by far the best restaurant we ate at in all 3 resorts. The pizzas were delicious (apparently they have 2 chefs from Italy). It was so damn good we went there twice. Steak was to die for. The resorts offer free shuttle service between all 3 resorts, which is nice however, they aren't that frequent! It worked for us because we did not mind walking to the Beach House but took the shuttle for Blue Haven. Giovanni was excellent from the front desk. Another Italian (young) guy was super nice too. They were very friendly and gave us good insights. Drinks are a bit watered down but which All-Inclusive isn't! If you tip the bartenders good (1$ each drink or $5 twice a day)and are nice to them, they are all very nice to you and will make your drinks strong :) That said, all staff were nice.
Beach House has a "fancy" restaurant - Kitchen 218. We have yet to find out whats all the hype about!!! They make you wake up 7 AM to reserve a table for that same night. They make men wear shoes, all dressed up, wait for your reserved table then to be seated at a restaurant that is at best 20% at capacity in the back with no scenery. Then for the food to show up as mediocre. Party of 4, had all different dishes and none of us were impressed or happy. Go to SALT!!!! 100times better. Ohhh and to go with the fine-dining theme they have a limited menu... which again was not impressive at all. The restaurant has a good vibe but for all the hype, not worth it. Obviously all these are part of all-inclusive so we did not care or worry of wasting our money on a fancy fine dining experience. The other "did not like" thing would be the frequency of the shuttles. And maybe that they do not offer any free transportation to downtown. You pass by it on the way to Blue Haven so why not make a stop for it too? It would be nice service. T&C has a tiny downtown but it's still nice to go and maybe even souvenir shop :) Last is the breakfast - or the buffet restaurant in general. It was just very very basic. It seems they have few vegetables in general so after few days of junk eating and such, if you want a salad, it'll have to be only ceasar! hahaha These are things we did not like, but in general our stay was great!
