The only thing good in this hotel were: Breakfast was good And 3 of the staffs: 2 receptionists that were on the second day in the morning that did their best to make up for the rudeness and misbehavior of their colleague from the night shift. And they were full of attention, they noticed my wife’s birthday and brought a cake to the room. They also changed our room to a bigger one. And tried to apologize for others behavior in a very professional way. The lady at the breakfast area on our last day was also very professional. These 3 people are the only 4 stars in the hotel. The rest you can read the comments below for detailed info.
Dirty: Our first night was in a dirty room, bathtub with hair on it, we wiped with a tissue the tub and it turned out dirty. We almost thought they left it dirty on purpose to give us the impression that it is an antique furniture :) Bed Sheets had a stain on them, maybe they were washed but still you don’t put such sheet. We called the reception, the guy from the reception came 30 mnts later, he cleaned the tub and left dirt on the floor after his shoes. Apparently hygiene was not his top priority. Water on the desk was drilling on the light switch, but the guy of the reception didn’t really care and left Rudeness: Some of the staffs are super rude, never saw such in a 4 stars hotel, we called the reception at 10.30 pm asking for slippers because the guy got our floor dirty, he told us to call in the morning to ask for slippers and hung up!!! Maybe he thought that we asked for his slippers and he didn’t want to go home and bring them. Design: very dark hotel, very old furniture , it is very classic and depressive, dark curtains, dark furniture. Not enough light. Not an enjoyable experience. Lucky we were not a depressive couple or we might have killed ourselves in the room :) Don’t get excited for the design, it’s very sad. The bathtub is very nice idea that is visible from the room, but it looks very used like dirty used, it’s not pleasurable to sit in it. At least they should change the bathtub in the rooms, they changed our room and the tub still looks old. Apparently they thought it was a good idea to bring bathtubs from the middle age era and put them in the rooms. You can find the same design but new!! Plugs: No plugs to charge your phone. Only one plug hidden somewhere. Room service: the lady came with the 2 dishes on a tray, wanted to put the tray on the bed for us to eat, luckily we had a table in our room to use it, or else we would have sat on the floor to eat on the bed.
The junior suite was amazing. The breakfast was unforgettable!! We had an amazing time
Staff very friendly. Good breakfast with good choice, fresh orange juice. Everything had been refilled quickly even up to end of breakfast
Stayed in a standard double room. Rating two fold: Staff very friendly. Breakfast good. Location good But the room was a desaster The room was inacceptably small. Less than a meter around the bed. Fortunately just had a cabin trolley but with two standard luaggages which two people usually have it would be a disaster (no space to store) Room so small that the bathroom didnt have a door and was just separated towards the room with a curtain. (same as with the wardrobe. Everything just closed by curtain). The bathroom itself similar small. Only usable by one person at a time. No space to put anything No hangers in the bathroom for the used towels. All in all room was inacceptable. I've never seen that in a 4 ☆ hotel before and am really travelling a lot. Even a youth hostel have better rooms nowadays. On top the room was overheated 25°C and no chance to adjust. aircon evidently not working The room was definately not worth the money.
Bath was a bit dodgy getting in and out.
Very polite and helpful staff. Great location. Very clean and secure hotel.
Need more electric plugs in the rooms.
