It is located in the historic centre of the city, on Rua S da Bandeira, a few steps from the citys main attractions including So Bento Station, Clrigos Tower, Porto Cathedral, Avenida dos Aliados, Lello Bookshop, Bolho Market and the well-known Cais da Ribeira, the Douro riverfront.The hotel was built on the site of the former Baquet Theatre, opened in 1859.
