Surprisingly updated interior.
A bit misleading with the name when you book, it isn't with the other hotels right next to the airport. About a 15 minute shuttle ride.
This place has gone downhill
Trina the night the bar tender is a riot and also knows how to mix cocktails. My guess is this HI owes 20% of their occupancy to return clients to her.
Staff lacks knowledge of the facility and front desk employees (Jamal) need to understand this is not their personal frat house. Obnoxious and rude. Being a Gold Member, we were upgraded to a suite. Once entering, the smell of deodorizer was so overwhelming, it made us cough and irritated our eyes. The deoderizor was obviously covering a bigger problem. We asked to be moved and offered the same room on the 2nd floor next to the parking lot and train tracks. Nope, didn't even look at this one. Next offered room 802 - I questioned if this was next to the elevator. I was told "no". So get there and she was right, not "next to" but BEHIND! We shared a wall with it and it was extremely noisy! Move #2... "Before you move us again, what do you have available before we bring our bags back down again?" We settled on room 611. Room was fine. Finally. But not before we were scolded by Jamal who was obviously put out for having to bring us keys. Spoke to Mercedes, the Manager who apologized for Jamal profusely (obviously not the 1st time). Better places to stay for sure.
Overall Great Stay!
The only bad thing is the restaurant isn't that good its okay just not fantastic. I will say it is better then your run of the mill breakfast at every other hotel!
The staff were all super helpful. They were great about picking you up and dropping you off at the airport and light station multiple times a day so you can go in and out of the city relatively cheap and easily! They also suggested different activities, all of which we enjoyed, each time we were dropped off somewhere. I felt like I had my own taxi service!
The restaurant bar staff were slow and inattentive.
