The view, lodge and restaurant staff, especially Brett, our server and food were fantastic. The size of the rooms was great too.
Our room was a bit of a far walk from the front desk/restaurant area. Especially with having a 1.5 year old, I would have thought the hotel would have been more considerate to a young family's needs (my husband had to lug our Uppababy stroller up different sets of stairs multiple times when leaving/coming). When we arrived in the room, there was a bit of a dingy air conditioner smell and the floor in the bathroom was dirty. The bellman asked if we wanted to switch rooms, but because the crib for our toddler was already set up and it was late in the evening when we arrived, we said no. Just a bit surprised given the price of the rooms.
Beds super comfortable. Bathroom counter space excellent. Staff very cordial, well-trained and efficient. Ski butler service outstanding. Rental shop had good variety of skis.
Room very small for price paid!
Location, location, location! Best ski-in ski-out we have ever experienced in one of the classiest ski resorts (Deer Valley) in the U.S. Ski lockers and ski valet service are second to none. They arrange your ski passes (so no waiting) and put your skis out every morning for you. They will even assist those less energetic with putting on and taking off boots. Of course, you ski right from the locker to the lifts. There is even a dedicated lift (Viking) to whisk you right back to your locker and âpre ski activities at the hotel. The food and restaurant service are phenomenal with a world class wine selection. The rooms are tastefully appointed, and the beds so comfortable that it is hard to get up in the morning. However, the light fluffy Utah powder and amazing breakfast buffet beckons you as you eagerly greet the new day. BTW in addition to the perfectly groomed runs, there is a fine assortment of more challenging runs to enjoy that light Utah powder. The price tag is not cheap, but the value worth every penny!
Nothing not to like about Stein Eriksen and Deer Valley.
Check in at 4 pm check out at 11 am. If you are in for a day/ night there isn’t a lot of time to enjoy all the property has to offer.
Very relaxing and private comfortable beds nice bathroom.
I had to change rooms because I chose to stay extra nights.. restaurant was fair but very pricey.
