Love the onsen and the public baths! Again, it's public so definitely try it out at your discretion and comfort level. There was also a variety of food items for breakfast.
We accidentally booked a smoking room and so our room and hallway was contaminated by tobacco smoke. Which was to be expected because we accidentally booked it. However, because we stayed in a smoking room, it made our experience less pleasurable.

Friendly staff with good English. Excellent location even for those with heavy baggages (5 mins from the subway station). Very central, yet quiet location. I especially booked the hotel for its onsen (communal bath), which was a real treat at the end of a long day. Room was small as most rooms in Japan, but welcoming and well-equipped. Very good price/value ratio for 75 USD oer night (excluding breakfast).
Very rude receptionist lady at night. Such a nice hotel should not afford such treatment by staff towards guests.

The onsen was okay but it was nothing special really. And the location is relatively close to the subway, I think that's about all the good things about this hotel really. Not much to talk about, to be honest.
The room was okay. It was clean. But the bed was extremely uncomfortable. And the overall environment makes me feel like I'm in a prison cell. Everything is just very standard. There is really not much going on near the hotel. Your best bet for a late-night meal is 7-11. It was relatively close to a shopping district though.
