Pros: Very good breakfast. Great location. Good price.
Cons: TERRIBLE bed! Really needs to be replaced urgently, I almost had to put the matress on the floor to be able to sleep. (extremely worn and soft, gave no support at all). I think this was only problem in basic room, last time we stayed in premium room with balcony and the bed was ok. Standard rooms only have a view on the parking, main entry and outside terrace with smokers...
Pros: What a wonderful experience we had at this hotel! The view was gorgeous, the food delicious, and the bed was comfortable; everything was clean. We would definitely return.
Cons: I wish hotel rooms always had two comfortable chairs; however, this hotel has comfortable and plentiful seating in the lobby area!
Pros: The view out the back and ultimately seeing this property in my rear view mirror.
Cons: Noisy and most of staff doesn't speak english. Food sucked.
Pros: The food was very good.
Cons: Despite saying they had Wifi, there was no Wifi. When I asked the receptionist about it she said "it was not her problem". No effort was made to help. Also I asked at the time of booking if the car park was secure. I received no reply and when I arrived there is a big sign saying insecure car park. In fact nothing happened to my vehicle but this was not very reassuring.
Pros: Great location, lovely breakfast and comfortable room. What made this hotel amazing was the staff. So friendly and helpful. Hopefully I can visit again soon.
Pros: The location was perfect!
Pros: Staff was extremely helpful, answering questions, helping with directions to events and giving us the best route to use when leaving. Wonderful hotel in an exciting area
Cons: Lighting in the room could have been better
Located in Seiffen, Hotel Ahornberg is a 4-minute drive from Ore Mountains Toy Museum and 9 minutes from Nussknackermuseum. Featured amenities include dry cleaning/laundry services, luggage storage, and laundry facilities. Free self parking is available onsite.
Pros: Wonderful, we were very satisfied, great stay, clean comfort room, very good food and beer, thank you.
Pros: We only had breakfast there once. It was OK, but more choice could have been better. The staff at the hotel are very friendly. We stayed in a wooden cabin so catered for ourselves. The scenery is magnificent and the mountain behind us was good for walking. The town of Seiffen is only about two km away with excellent restaurants and the wood carved items beautiful. The hotel is close to the Czech border and Prague 120km away.
Cons: Breakfast could be better. Apart from that, it was all OK.

Pros: Staff clearly cares about their guests. Reception was friendly, informative and helpful. Housekeepers paid attention and had my room clean while I was at breakfast. Restaurant servers were constantly on the move, very attentive and my meals were hot and fresh. Staff at the "hut" out front had great beverages, classic local dishes, a fire burning and sunny seating, great fun with chill in the air. Keep reading!
Pros: The hotel is located central to all the shops in Seifen. The hotel staff is very friendly. The hotel has an excellent restaurant with a good German kitchen. There is also a pasta bar on the property - a good place to relax and have a drink before retiring to bed. A beautiful and charming hotel!
Cons: All my expectations were met.

Pros: A great location in the centre of the village. Really helpful and friendly staff who went out of their way to make our stay perfect. A fantastic breakfast.
Cons: All good
Pros: Staff and hotel were wonderful. They went out of their way to be accommodating. The location in the center of the village is perfect More Americans should visit this delightful town
Pros: The location was very good and we enjoyed the town very much
Cons: Where to park the car
In the town of Seiffen in the Ore Mountains - home of the nutcrackers and the wooden "smoking men" incense burners - you find the Hotel Nussknackerbaude in a central yet peaceful location. Here you will find everything for a completely unique stay, such as a bowling alley, a terrace and the hotel's own sauna.
Pros: Had a restaurant at the hotel, good dinner and excellent breakfast. Good beds and comfortable bedding.Easy check in.
Cons: Parking is there but a bit far away from the check in desk
Pros: It was sufficient..perhaps a bit more variety in fruit and bread
Cons: I thought the initial description of how close it was to center of town was deceptive..You really couldn't walk and had to have a car to get you to the center.
Pros: The decor alone is reason enough to book a stay at this charming German guest house. In the the heart of German Christmas woodworking shops it is a pleasure to relax in such a nice place. The staff was exceptionally helpful and accommodated our later than expected arrival with no issue. I would stay here anytime I was in Seiffen
Pros: Location, comfort and breakfast was fantastic.
Cons: En-suite was a little small but workable.
Pros: Lovely decorations throughout the hotel.
Cons: Single rooms are very tiny.

Pros: The Hotel Sonne is nicely situated in Seiffen, just a short way from the main street. It's run by a wonderfully friendly family of Dutch ex-Pats who speak excellent English. We had budget rooms, which were smallish, but perfectly adequate. The bath was nice sized. Our host showed us one of the larger balconied rooms which was quite nice. All was clean, quiet, and comfortable and the complimentary breakfast was more than adequate. The hotel was a delight to visit as many nooks and crannies had displays of the craftsmanship of the Seiffen area. There is no lift.
Cons: All was beautiful!
Pros: The staff was very friendly and gave us shopping and food recommendations as we arrived during the Christmas market dates and the city was very busy. My only issue was that the main roads to the hotel were closed off for car traffic but the locals helped us navigate to the parking lot. Also, my bad, we should have paid the evening before we left because their office and breakfast area didn't open until 0800 and we had to leave a bit earlier to make our next appointment.
Cons: A strip map to and from the hotel would have been nice just because it gets dark very early in the winter and my phone reception wasn't all that great in Seiffen. But, really everything was quite nice.
Pros: The owners of this hotel have gone out of their way to make it comfortable. They've included a plug-in cube, a stool for your clothes in the bathroom, extra floor mats, wash clothes, and a clock. The pressure in the shower was great! Staff was incredibly gracious and there two friendly, cute dogs included. Location is fantastic!
Pros: The owners made us feel like a part of the family. Very cozy accommodations. We ate dinner and had drinks at the hotel and we were very happy we did since the food was delicious! You need to make a reservation with your food selection In the afternoon. The breakfast is also very tasty. Very close to the wooden craft shops. Very reasonably priced.
Cons: No complaints about the hotel but be aware most shops and the Christmas Market in town close early.
Pros: Great family run hotel very clean
Cons: Nothing to not like really, maybe room decor a bit dated
Pros: Good breakfast . Beds were comfortable. Nice spacious room, with plenty of seating. Lovely balcony with view. Quiet but central location. Friendly host. Check-in very simple. Hosts had taken care to give guests quiet rooms where possible. Nice outside seating area. Nearby bus-stop for non-drivers. Languages German, English, Dutch.
Cons: Coffee at breakfast could have been better. Shower was a bit small and difficult to step down from.

Pros: Size of the rooms.

Pros: Chose this hotel for the terrace view. Restaurant was good with great service and good value.
Cons: All was gooid
Pros: we enjoyed the visit to the hotel, was a little further away from where we wanted to be but was a lovely hotel. very clean and tidy and comfy
Cons: Our first impression on reception felt was not the most welcoming but did improve by the end of the stay. I ordered a meal but the wrong one was delivered, I accepted it as it looked good but asked for red cabbage as it was missing from my meal (as it was included on the one I had ordered) so I would have expected as they had got the meal wrong then I would not have been charged but I was so a little dissapointed.
Pros: Beautiful location, great view from the room. Great parking facilities. Great ambiance in the restaurant and outdoor dining with beautiful view of sunset. Excellent choices and preparation for dinner. Staff very friendly and speaks English.
Cons: Can’t think of anything. We will stay there again on return to the area

Pros: - balcony with the view on the open air museum - spa - the decoration in the hotel and especially in the restaurant which is also where the breakfast is served in the morning - good breakfast with a variety of choices and fresh fruits - kindness at the check in and check out - nice restaurant - position in front of the open air museum, and not to far (walking distance) from the center with the beautiful toy museum and shops - having a very nice present at the check out was really nice - the surrounding area is pretty nice
Cons: almost nothing, just the door of the toilet which somehow did hit the shower, and made noise in the night
Pros: We stayed overnight for a quick shopping trip in Seiffen with our dog. The guest house was perfect for our needs with beautiful views of the farm. Very comfortable and will recommend it to friends staying in the area.
Pros: Lovely traditional hotel. We were there with our two little kids and had everything. Very delicious kitchen, friendly stuff and perfect location in beautiful Seiffen. We will return here for sure again.
Pros: Very nice view of the farmland from our balcony. We ate at the restaurant in the evening and enjoyed the meal. We did not take advantage of all the offerings of this restaurant.
