With a stay at Castle Hotel & Spa in Tarrytown, you'll be within a 5-minute drive of Tarrytown Music Hall and Lyndhurst Mansion. Featured amenities include complimentary wired Internet access, complimentary newspapers in the lobby, and dry cleaning/laundry services. Free valet parking is available onsite.
Pros: This Ina very pretty location high above the Hudson River, it looks like a castle, from the outside, but the interior has a variety of decor. We had a deluxe King and it was large and very comfortable. We had our anniversary dinner at Equus, the in house restaurant, excellent food and service.
Cons: Unfortunately for us they were having issues with their fire alarm, it went off 3 times while we were there, not happy being woke up at 7:30 by sirens and flashing lights, evacuated for 20 minutes and nothing was said by mgmt, we showered and checked out soon after, this ruined our relaxing anniversary weekend.
Pros: We found the castle a bit dumpy and in need of updating. The spa was beautiful but the day were there the women’s locker room was closed and we were in a small men’s locker room.
Cons: Service , valet was missing in action at all times.
Cons: I booked the hotel for my husbands birthday, i sent an email with this notification and when we arrived we didnt have any complimentary flowers, note or anything regarding this request. That was very dissapointing! The place felt very cold and empty! Like we where on our own at all times without any type of service, good welcome or anything like that. Also the restaurant service very very bad service, they didnt let us even have a sit and get a drink since the formal bar was under construction. We went at night to have dinner just 10 minutes after 8pm and they told us they were closed for the night, where we saw they were people who just sat down a bit before. It felt really uncomfortable at all times, I would definitely NOT STAY here again, and would not recommend to anyone stay neither.
Pros: Beautiful grounds and structure
Cons: Heat system problem Could use more tv cable options
Pros: The service was impeccable...to the nines every time.
Pros: Room was nice
Cons: The Castle added a $300 a day fee for possible damage that would only be refunded after we left. This was not disclosed beforehand. We have traveled all over the world and stayed in the finest hotels and never had this experience
Pros: The staff was super friendly and helpful - valet, front desk, and housekeeping. The grounds were simply amazing, you truly felt like you were staying in a Castle! The hotel was very clean and well provisioned. There were complimentary soft drinks and water in the mini-fridge, which we were encouraged to enjoy. We had a nice family game of chess on the giant board outside on the patio, and the views at sunset were fantastic. We came to the area for Sleepy Hollow, so the location was great -- and also had fun in downtown Tarrytown for dinner (@ Sweet Grass) and for breakfast/coffee (@ Coffee Lab) - both of which I would highly recommend.
Cons: Had queen beds, but only 2 pillows on each...so had to ask for more. The staff was quick to meet our request for additional pillows, though ;-)
Pros: Professional and Courteous staff
Cons: Wish I had later check out due to midnight check in
Pros: easy to get to. The Great Room
Cons: Room looked like they had not finished decorating. Very generic, no personality, no effort to make cozy. The free minibar was empty except a few cans of soda. Very small amount of coffee and creamer. Not enough for morning coffee for two people. The heating unit was very noisy and kept waking us up during the night. Very poor night sleep. Staff woke me up during my afternoon nap by knocking on the door and asking" if we needed anything." There was no turn down in the evening and no treat on the pillow before sleeping. There was no newspaper in the morning by the door. Dinner was very good except everything on the chicken plate was all light brown. Not very attractive looking and not very special for the cost. This hotel is only pretending to be a luxury hotel. We were certainly not treated that way. We were so looking forward to our stay and be spoiled and it was really very disappointing. Hopefully for the hotel they treat other quests better.
Pros: Bed was very comfortable.
Cons: When we drove up no one was there to meet us. We weren't informed the restaurant was closed for a private event. Service was not good. Requested late checkout and they never got back to me.

Pros: Bistro food exceeded expectations. So good we dined in. Friendliness of staff in particular front desk. Balcony room was a nice bonus but we needed it bc the room smelled badly on entry.
Cons: Our room smelled bad...real bad. Like cheap men’s cologne. But overpowering. Like it spilled. A little detective work revealed the prior guest spilled cologne inside a drawer and on the carpet as well. But even with a closed draw the room was almost in inhabitable. Thankfully we had a balcony with a screen and could air out the room. This helped a little. We asked if the draw could be removed and the front desk sent someone up immediately to do so. My displeasure with the hotel lies here. There was NO way the next guests weren’t going to notice this smell. So why did I have to solve the problem? Housekeeping should have notified someone prior to our arrival. If the problem couldn’t be fixed then we should have been given a different room. If no rooms were available, you should have admitted the situation and offered us something as an apology. Drink or food vouchers. A discounted rate. Something...but it was as if you guys just closed the smelly draw and hoped we wouldn’t say anything. That’s bad business and definitely left us wondering why you did it? And make us second guess using this hotel chain in the future. In August in Niagara Falls I had an issue where upon returning to our room at 4:30pm (gone since 9:00am) and it was never cleaned. Front desk said they clean rooms of people checking out first and if I wanted to vacate my family who’s hot and tired they’ll come and clean. That too was unacceptable. Hire more staff than so you’re able to accommodate all guests. So this was strike 2. Not sure I’m going to wait for strike 3.
Pros: Very friendly front desk staff.
Cons: Rooms could use a little redecoration to match the modern decor of the lobby.
Pros: Nice location to all events happening in the area .
Cons: Elevator was a distance from front desk . So make sure you park according to the entrance to your room .
Pros: The reception when we walked in she was Pleasant and very nice and helpful
Pros: Absolutely everything.. The Staff was fantastic, the place was immaculate...
Cons: Everything was great
Pros: Staff was friendly and helpful
Cons: Room layout was not optimal.
Pros: The room is easy to access from outside or in. The beds are very comfortable. It is quite most of time so I sleep very well. This was my second stay and diffidently would come back
Pros: Quiet location; we slept well.
Cons: --Pool closed to make room for new meeting rooms. --No complimentary breakfast for Marriott Titanium Platinum members. --Already using the large containers of shampoo, conditioner, and body wash in shower instead of easier to handle individual containers.
Pros: Comfortable beds. Quiet at night. Friendly staff.
Pros: Front desk and all staff are all very cordial and go out of their way to be helpful .
Pros: The bed was extremely comfortable and the staff was all very friendly! Room was clean and the location was perfect
Cons: It was a little inconvenient to access our room on the third floor. The elevator access was on the complete opposite side of the building
Pros: Hotel has a nice look from the outside.
Cons: Location not the best for traveling. This is an expensive hotel however there was a sign in the hallway stating there are 'quiet hours' ..which I had never seen in a hotel before and should have alerted me to noise problems. People next door at 3am woke us up with their noise, talking, party atmosphere. Notified desk who did come up and say something to them. However at 5am they started banging on our wall ...scared us to death. Obviously their sign of 'quiet hours' is there because of under 25 year olds renting rooms. Management should better handle noise complaints and evict them with penalty.

Pros: The food at the hotel was great, I tried room service and ate in the restaurant and would recommend both. The gym was of a good size with numerous machines and weights.
Cons: Overall it just feels a little tired, but for a business hotel it was fine. I don't think its the sort of place you would want to stay if you were on holiday. The swimming pool looked a very strange color and its in the middle of the hotel so people can see it from their rooms.
Pros: Beautiful, rooms clean, service at Cooper Mill's was excellent
Cons: Lack of Customer Service at the front desk, I have machines were broken in our floor, cost of soda at the little market over priced, soda a home did not over what we wanted. Lastly, came back after a long day thought we could use the hot tub, it was clo
Pros: The location and the price. Just what was needed.
Cons: Nothing. Just right.
Pros: Cool elevator
Cons: Rude bartender in restaurant
Pros: Staff was excellent. Restaurant was delicious. Room was spotless Enjoyed bar area. Great pool area.
Cons: I did not like bedspread. A nice cotton quilt would have been better.
Pros: I was feeling hungry at night and it was nice to be able to go to the bar at night and order food and watch the baseball game. And they let me charge the bill to my room.
Pros: Close to my office
Cons: Room decor drab, lighting dull thus felt really gloomy
Pros: Overall, it was a great stay. The location and quality of the hotel were perfect.
Cons: I did not enjoy one of the dishes order through room service. The salmon was expensive but I did not even want to finish it. Pizza was tasty!!!
Pros: The room was spacious and clean. The hotel is also in a convenient location.
Cons: Our room had some problems upon arrival, including the light in the bathroom not working and the TV being pixilated or blacked out for more than half the channels. Breakfast was also nearly completely wiped out when I went down at 8:30am.
Cons: We drove 5 hours here and it was the first time in many years my whole family went on a trip together. We had a wonderful time at our family event and we were excited to come to our hotel to rest. But there was an issue with our booking. We booked a double bed room but was given a single bed room for four of my kids. When I approached the staff, they simply said there's nothing we can do about it since it was full. We weren't pleased but what could we do? But then the room we were given had a huge crack in the patio window and we could hear all the kids playing at the pool. We asked the front desk what could be done? Again, they said they can't do anything about it. Didn't offer to change rooms or anything. My kids could not sleep well most of the night and they have to drive back another 5 hours. As a business that provides hospitality, why is it that they simply tell us they can't do anything about it???! This has RUINED our family trip because we have full schedule of family events today with POOR quality sleep. We felt pushed aside and not taken care of. I hope this doesn't happen to others staying at this hotel, especially to the kids and parents of the staff that told us they can't do anything about it.
Pros: Everything was great.

Pros: I enjoyed being welcomed with a warm chocolate chip cookie after checking in and I liked the setup of the hotel, their pool wasn't far from my room. Also, the room service wasn't too expensive.
Pros: Front desk staff very helpful.
Cons: The hotel is extremely spread out and confusing to navigate, at first.
Cons: Not really
Pros: I had been looking for accommodation in Sleepy Hollow for Halloween night several weeks and everything was extremely expensive, more than 250$ a night. I decided to leave it until the last minute and then otherwise book in another place half hour away. That morning I checked and this hotel was only 89$!!! I booked it right away, being a Doubletree by Hilton it was a complete bargain!! It was amazingly decorated and the quality of this brand is super good. They welcomed us with warm cookies. The experience was amazing.
Cons: It is a long walk to get from lobby to room and a little bit confusing.
Pros: The room was very nice, water pressure in shower was good. Front desk staff were very nice.
Cons: The pillows were terrible and the room was very stuffy and hot.
Cons: The room was freezing. I couldn't adjust the temperature. This is not common as I had just stayed at this hotel two weeks prior. Perhaps the one in my room was broken.
Pros: Clean. Extremely pleasant staff
Cons: Food was average. Will eat out next time.
Pros: Everything else was first class
Cons: People would leave trash and food outside their doors in the hallway
Pros: Friendly staff
Cons: If I had to pic something it would be the location. You have to really hunt for food if you dont like what the hotel have to offer
Pros: The hotel staff and the hotel itself is terrific. Little bar had a nice vibe and pretty good food. It was a nice place to hang out in general. Room was comfortable & quiet.
Cons: Breakfast was pretty expensive. Better to run down the road to the diner.
Pros: The location was awesome!!! The hotel and grounds were beautiful!! Loved the Halloween and headless horseman decorations!!! The people at the front desk were extremely pleasant, we arrived 3 hours early and they got my number and told us they would text when our room was ready, not even 45 minutes later it was ready!!! Great experience overall and will definitely stay here again when visiting Sleepy Hollow!!
Pros: The guest parking was close to the main entrance.
Cons: The mattress was to soft and the T.V. didn't work. Front desk had call engineer to fix it.

Pros: The staff was very friendly. Breakfast was amazing. The pool area was very clean.
Pros: Location was good Leaving this hotel was better. Facility is declining
Cons: Overall look is dated and maintenance lacking as if the long term plan is to shut down Breakfast was very poor and not edible. Since this is one amenities not offered by most of the competitors I'm surprised that it has been allowed to deteriorate
Pros: Enjoyed ,front desk so gracious
Pros: Great breakfast. Much better than most included breakfasts. Super friendly staff. Shuttle available to take you into town. Nice room, comfortable bed.
Pros: its cozy, clean and the staff are very polite and welcoming. very peaceful and quiet environment.
Pros: Service was excellent, people very friendly.!!
Cons: Room need some update. Suggestion, lobby should be lower level not in 3rd floor.
Pros: Breakfast included
Pros: The location in Tarrytown for what we were doing was good.
Cons: We have stayed here previously. The hotel has slipped a lot in standards. Breakfast is provided. Great, but there are not enough seats to accommodate people and the food is bland and the same each morning. The pool tiles were wet the whole time and danger
Cons: There haven't jacuzzi :(
Pros: Location is convenient. Staff is personable and helpful. The room is clean and the bed comfortable. The bathroom arrangement is nice.
Cons: The parking lot is peculiar and a bit difficult to navigate. The configuration of the room is odd.
Pros: The size of the room was great. Staff was very friendly (mostly) with plenty of parking. You're no more than 10 minutes from Sleepy Hollow proper and 3 - 5 minutes from Main Street in Tarrytown. I recommend if you don't want to break the bank on lodging.
Cons: The cleanliness of the hotel left a little to be desired. Spill stains were on the closet door and the vents were pretty disgusting. We had a few plumbing problems but the hotel took care of them in timely fashion.
Pros: Room configuration good and clean

Pros: Location Workout Pool
Pros: The grounds were lovely. The room was very clean.
Cons: Check in was an issue as they couldn't find our reservation. When it was finally found we pre registered as we had arrived early. When we returned, the reservation, once again couldn't be found. Also our traveling companions had a problem checking in. There was a gala being held one night. We asked what time the party would end and if we would have difficulty parking. Received different answers from each staff member we asked. When we returned we ended up parking in a far off lot as all parking near our room was taken. On Saturday early evening there were many people sitting around the fir pits and all of a sudden the gas went out. They has run out of gas! Since they depend on an outside company to supply the propane, there was no way to enjoy the fire pits. Would think that for over $200 per night, they would have been on top of that. Also there are no elevators.
Pros: The room was very clean snd comfortable. The grounds are beautiful.
Cons: There was half an hour wait to check since computers were down. The restaurant cellar 49 was disorganized and didn't seem able to accommodate the guests.
Pros: The old buildings and history
Cons: Our room wasn’t ready at 3:00. I was told it will be ready at 4:00. When I came back to check in there was a line from the front desk all the way out the door and it wasn’t moving. I had to Ask the front desk if my room was ready yet and it still wasn’t. We did not get our room keys until close to 5:00. When we left the check in area the line was still where it had been when I originally started waiting in line. Staff said it was because of a wedding. If that is the case, they should have planned to have more people working the front desk to make the check in process more smooth.
Pros: We enjoyed everything about our stay - the location, the attractiveness of the facilities and the surroundings, and the bountiful breakfast. Room was comfy and very quiet. Staff was very friendly.
Pros: Breakfest only untull 10 am and by 9 am they are out of the majority of the menu
Cons: bathroom need to be updated. Didnt flush properly and the linen curtain was a bit nasty
Pros: Nice property
Cons: Bathrooms need updating. Not much for your money
Pros: Very good location, good view of the Hudson
Cons: elevator was broken, apparently a while according to a maid. So, needed to carry luggage up a half flight of stairs
Pros: Beautiful grounds and hotel with exceptional service!
Cons: King Mansion room 290’s AC was not working.
Cons: Room was overlooking the Pool and the Pool Cover was blowing all night long. Was held down by overturned tables.
Pros: Good breakfast, nice location
Cons: For the price, way too old and terrible construction. Walls are paper thin and room is not more than an average hotel room. No place to get/buy water on the whole property. No luxury feeling at all. Hot tub was out of order as well as the sauna.
Cons: You had to walk a lot to get to the building my room was in, including through several other buildings and down several flights of stairs only to have to climb those same stairs to get to the lobby or to where breakfast was served. Distant parking.

Pros: It was close to my destination!
Cons: Smell , very dirty , not clean at all floors or bathroom
Cons: Hot water more like Luke Warm. Only a 2 story but no elevator
Pros: How clean the bathroom was and the nice room and a tv
Cons: Bed could be more comfortable
Pros: When I travel alone I look for safety at a Hotel, especially the area its located in. I felt safe here. After safety I look for cleanliness. The room was very clean and more than exceeded expectations. It was easy access of I-287, close to the Center of the Town of Nyack. Not too far from Paisades Mall. Walking distance to McDonalds and a Chase Bank ATM. Nice food store across the street.
Cons: The third thing I look at when choosing to stay somewhere is how quiet and peaceful the hotel is. Unfortunately, the noise of people going up and down steps was very loud. This noise can be greatly reduced us the steps were carpeted. Around rush hour, street noise can be loud as the hotel is on Route 59.
Cons: I don't think people clean here. Hair in tub, dirty sink, dirty toilet seat, and bandaid on fire alarm.
Pros: Staff was attentive to needs. Had a lot of wifi difficulties, and another guest smoked all night in their room. Not staffs fault.
Cons: Noise on steps near room. Sounded like a heard of animals!
Cons: No extra bath towels no wash clothes and the front desk wasn't able to find my name because she was smoking and smelled like marijuana
Pros: Nice hotel, remodeling taking place while there. In a convenient location to where I was travel to
Cons: Our room had an awful smell. Asked to switch rooms but was not able to accommodate
Pros: The bed was comfortable, the sheets fresh. You don't need a car to stay economically in Nyack.I especially loved the really excellent, competent and friendly service from the young woman at the desk.
Cons: Dripping faucet, dirty outside window and some black spots on the bathroom floor. Limited breakfast. Outdated bedspreads. You should have the white duvet covers that most hotels now have. The super 8 sign is hard to see.
Pros: The front desk staff was extremely friendly and accommodating. They even checked in on me shortly after arriving to make sure the room met my expectations. They also allowed a later check out time without a fee upon request. Great and convenient location.
Pros: Location was convenient. Staff seemed really nice (even during check in at 2am)
Cons: Hotel was being remodeled. Room was dirty. Breakfast did not meet expectations. No elevator for those who need it.
Pros: Meets the 2 star rating well. I got just what I would expect.

Pros: Location is fantastic
Cons: Front desk wasn't always available. Had to wait a while for service.
Cons: They advertise a restaurant that is only open during the morning. Same food could bought at McDonalds and hotter. The noise through night was awful. It seems they put the guest on a side and over top of other rooms. Even if they have plenty. Wouldn't st
Pros: The breakfast was good.
Pros: The staff was friendly.
Cons: Everything. Stained walls, stained carpet, stained bath towels, musty room odor, dirty bed linens and a terrible WiFi signal making it useless..
Pros: Not a fancy place, but accomodations were adequate and the price was good. Staff were very friendly and pleasant. Breakfast was good.
Pros: Nice hotel with a fridge and large room. Beds were comfortable and everything was pretty clean. The shower was nice and the heater worked well. Plenty of seating room and a nice new TV. There was a coffee pot with coffee in the room and extra blankets. Lots of electric outlets and good lighting. Also had thick curtains to block out early morning light. We stayed here because hotels are twice as much across the river and we went to Sleepy Hollow. The included breakfast was delicious and it was a hot cooked meal not just stale bagels. We will stay here again next year.
Cons: Towels seemed old and need bleached. The bathroom didn't have an exhaust fan.
Pros: Everything easy parking very friendly and accommodating the breakfast is amazing
Cons: I would say this is a motel with breakfast
Cons: One of the heater was broken so the room was cold.
Pros: Fast service
Cons: The heater was not working in the room and I was cold all night
Pros: Not a whole lot
Cons: Couldn't find the front entrance, the room smelled weird, the beds & pillows were uncomfortable & the cloth at the end of the bed was stained
Pros: Room was dated and worn, but surprising clean. Breakfast provided was above average.
Cons: Location wasn't great: surroundings, loitering bystanders, and some of the other clientele made us uncomfortable and feel unsafe. No incidents just uncomfortable. Room temperature control was terrible too hot and could not adjust.
