Brilliant family facilities.
Evening buffet very expensive
Loved our stay here. The location is stunning. We had a room on the 4th floor with a balcony and a sea view. By the time we got here we had already stayed 6 nights in other parts of Oman and we were ready to do the seaside part of our holiday. There are lots of good activities to do at this hotel if you wish. We didn’t really use many of the facilities because we simply wanted to chill for a few days after an otherwise active holiday. We did however do the dolphin watch and turtle snorkelling trip and that was fabulous. The sun loungers are very comfy and are at various locations around the hotel so you can choose your view for the day! The staff are very attentive and friendly. We loved the lazy river too!
This is a very expensive hotel. Yes, we knew that when we booked it but what we didn’t know is that the food prices would be beyond reasonable. The food, whilst amazing, is very expensive and the alcohol prices are extortionate! There is a small fridge in the room so we made use of that and made our own lunch each day to help with the cost. I think they could perhaps offer some less fancy options for food to help with the holiday budget, not everyone wants to spend so much on food. I can’t fault the hotel for anything else though, it is fabulous.
Resort is very large and has a good choice of places to eat. View from room was very pleasant. Fitness and activities schedule is very good and offers a lot of choice for people to choose. Staff all very pleasant and hard working. Quality of food was very good throughout, did not have a meal that was a let down during the entire stay.
Resort is showing its age, rooms especially are quite dated inside. Had several issues with service on the first couple of days which resulted in us having to complain to management, in fairness the issues did get sorted for the next day but a resort at this price they should not have existed in the first place. Which does bring me onto price, the amount it costs to stay in the resort it was a let down, everything is also quite pricey within the resort itself from food and drink perspective. For the size of the resort it has only 1 bar and this bar does not allow children in, witnessed every night families being turned away due to having kids, cant understand why a place with circa 20 restaurants does not have more places to drink especially that are family friendly.
The beach is small and very windy (february 2020)
The management took an active interest in making sure our experience was improved through better service. Room upgraded and staff paid more attention after complaining.
Staff made an effort but the facilities are dates. Definitely not a 5 star hotel or experience.
