Towering cyprus trees, silvery olive trees, rosemary, lavender -- all the sights and smells of Provence in beautifully kept grounds that offer breathtaking views. and secret, tranquil, hidden areas. This is a magical hotel that seamlessly blends its 19th century building with mod cons and wonderful dinners. The Provencal breakfasts are excellent, but happily and logically not extravagant -- and included in the price! The essence of Provence and Cote D'Azure.
Loved the outdoor pool area, stunning views, peace & quiet. Easily accessible for visiting surrounding towns and villages on the Riviera.
We found the bed too soft, but that’s just personal preference!
John the owner is a legend. Hospitable, friendly and charming. A delight.
The owner was really nice and the place has potential. The pool was great for toddlers.
The staff were hesitant to speak English (one lady even rolled her eyes at me when I said I didn't speak French), the rooms and property need alot of general maintenance. The grounds were pretty unkempt, most of the grass was dead and where the grass was green it was covered in spiders webs. The fabrics need a really good clean and there are dead bugs everywhere (e.g all over the floors and in the window blinds). The mattresses on 2 out of 3 of our beds kept moving or falling off the basis in the night and we had to repeatedly ask for extra towels and breakfast for our child.
We were welcomed by the guest house owner and made to feel welcome immediately upon our arrival. It honestly felt as though were were visiting long lost friends. I have to mention that the quality of the beds was the most comfortable that I have ever experienced. My only regret is that the stay was too short.
