Staff is great, they make you feel at home. The Hotel location is amazing, right in Mexico City's heart. The view from the Balcony is breat taking... i recomend Best Western Majestic with tumbs up.
The Beds, they supposed to be Doule Beds and we sleep on SingleBeds and on one Chair, very uncomfortable, i ask to switch Room and pay difference, but the hotel was Full, that's the only bad experience.
The location is best of the best, overlooking the square from window. And best value for money in that area. Although the hotel is a bit old, the bed is really comfortable.
Decent location right on the (noisy & busy) Zócalo. Terrace restaurant had good views.
Hard beds where you can feel the springs. At check in the employee was very brusque and we asked for recommendations but he couldn’t give us any. Also, we were given a room on the 6th floor and although it had a nice window view, the terrace restaurant is directly above and chairs are moved around very loudly above you, waking you up. I would find somewhere else to stay next time, although everything was clean and passable.
Location unknown to taxi, despite it just in center. Entrance from pedestrian street not clearly visible in darkness. Icy manner receptionist
The location can't be topped. There are several hotels around the zocalo, but this is by far the best value for the money. It is an old hotel but kept in fairly good condition and has so much character. The staff in general is very friendly and helpful.
The restaurant was not all that great in either quality or service. The bathrooms, particularly the showers, could use upgrading.
The Best Western® Hotel Majestic is a four star property located in the Zocalo, the heart of downtown Mexico City facing the National Palace, the Metropolitan Cathedral, the city government buildings and only two blocks from the Aztec Temples. We are a seven story building from the beginning of the century, where Barroque style can be admired in the main lobby, and the stone work, carved wood, bronze and 'talavera' of Puebla mix in a unique way. The rooftop La Terraza Restaurant offers the best view of the Zocalo. Enjoy your stay.
