We’ve stayed there for 3 nights and their service was excellent. Because we could not speak French, The helped us booking the restaurant we’ve keen to go. Also inform us the recommendations when we could not book one.
Best location. Fab hotel decoration with a beautiful theme of old textile industry. Nice loby with free water and coffee. Sweet receptionist and friendly team. Good wifi. Nearby parking avaiable. Room spacious with an excellent walk-in shower and a comfy bed. If cleaning was better I would have given it a even higher grade.
The room was not cleaned properly, and we found like yesterday's waste in the bins, and other signs indicating room has not been properly cleaned. Also amenities not re filled and I had to go and ask for small things from reception more than once. Dining is in the -1 level, very cute cozy place but no elevator so down the round winding stairs (easy unless you have mobility difficulties). Breakfast was a bit disappointing , nice but no fresh staff. Coffee from a machine.
Very friendly staff, nothing too much trouble. Economy single room was better equipped and larger than I expected - coffee machine in room and very comfy bed! Very, very central with loads of good restaurants and bars within 5 minutes walking distance.. Spoilt for choice.
This wasn't a problem for me as I am short... However room on 6th floor in eaves of old building and has a sloping ceiling in bedroom and bathroom... Standing in Bath to shower would be problem if you are over 5ft 8in :)
The location was excellent. Situated on the Presque-île amidst great restaurants and shopping and close to bus routes and metro - it took very little time to get to places like the old town/the Paul Bocuse food market/the funicular to Fourviere and much more. The rooms are very comfortable with great bathroom - shower & water pressure great. We loved that the ‘place’ below was busy and vibrant serving food/drinks and ice creams!! Couldn’t ask for Amore central base to explore this lovely city.
Awesome location, great view (from our room, at least), large room - a lot bigger than expected!
The 4-star Silky Hotel is part of the HappyCulture Collection. HappyCulture is about forty addresses in France and as many experiences to discover. Young but cultivating the sense of values, the brand declines here as elsewhere its signature: to please, to multiply the small attentions which make the great happiness. The 46 rooms with their different colours reveal pretty mouldings and cornices, in a cosy and contemporary bourgeois house spirit. Beautiful ceiling height, Italian shower, retro and graphic decoration...
