Cons: If you are paying over $200/night it seems like an excessive price for the place since it is run more like a 3-3.5 than 4 or 5 star hotel. Some of the hotel is run down. There is a general lack of information about what to do and how to move around to and from Lagos. Staff could have been more helpful. Pool is cold which is a problem since the ocean in Lagos is numbingly cold even in the middle of July (colder than the coasts of Mexico, Brazil, the Mediterranean, beaches in SE Asia, etc). It seems like a minor thing but given the windy weather even when the town is hot, it was surprising to find very cold pools for the price paid.

Pros: The facilities are top notch, with 3 different pools meaning they never seemed to get too busy. Staff were attentive and super friendly with decent food options available as well. There is a lovely cliff top walk you can do at the back of the hotel or head you can head down to the beach. They also property a free shuttle service into Lagos town or you can get a taxi for around €10.

Pros: The resort is located in a beautiful location, rooms have water views of either ocean or port and city. Access from the property directly onto the “boardwalk” along the cliffs. Staff are excellent, providing us everything we needed and asked for. Took a day in the spa, services were wonderful. Prices were what I would expect at a luxurious resort. Breakfast was included in our rate, consisted of a full buffet with an omelet station. We arrived after the busy season but still enjoyed incredible weather.

Pros: Very clean and comfortable bed. We loved spending time at the spa pool - more sheltered and relaxing music. Walk into Lagos is not most scenic but good option to have an alternative scene. Gym is good and very good if you want a plentiful weight selection. We also did the coasteering trip recommended by gym. It was excellent!

Cons: I think there should have been a bellman on the door to greet and bid a fond farewell seeing it was 5 star (it seemed very impersonal) the gritty poolside was uncomfortable. I really didn’t like the red umbrellas around the pool (white would have been so much easier on the eye) and sophisticated! Especially as they have weddings there!

Pros: Clean, spacious and quiet. Beds were comfortable, shower was good. We had a one bedroom apartment away from the main hotel and restaurant. We had to either drive or walk to the restaurant for breakfast. It was not a problem for us as there was parking for the car and if we walked the walk was pleasant. The hotel would take to you to/from your room to the restaby shuttle The breakfast was very good and there were many options.

Cons: The web site does not show very clear what types and locations of rooms are available. When paying extra for the "sea view" we expected to be closer to the sea whereas we were close to and internal and external road with the sea visible from far. After the first disapointment we were enjoying meals on our balcony anyway. Nice place.

Cons: Not much, except for that my feet and socks would get so dirty from the floor and when housekeeping came through, I asked them to mop it and then after still was an issue. Also the toilet paper could be better than little dispensed squares. No rolled toilet paper in a supposed 4 star resort kind of sat wrong with me. All in all that was really the only problems.

Cons: You need to leave 50€ cash deposit for key to garage door and another 50€ cash deposit for key to safe deposit box. Also, people in apartment above us where up all night with crying baby and pulling chairs, which was verry load, some sound proofing is necessary.

Cons: Reception was not 24 hours, there was nothing in the rooms such as salt pepper sugar tea coffee etc so we had to go buy all this stuff, view was nice but has a car park in front, pool isnt worth bothering with, decoration inside the apartment is super minimal all IKEA and very cheaply done. Lift is very slow, location is a good 20 minute walk from town so it's quite expensive considering all this. No way this is a 9.2/10 property not sure who has been making these reviews !

Pros: The pool was spectacular. Room and bathroom both were good size. Good variety at both dinner and breakfast buffets. Cleaning staff very friendly and accommodating.
Cons: We felt that for 25€ each the dinner buffet food that was supposed to be hot, should actually have been at least warm - many dishes actually cold. Also we were told to hurry up and finish so they could start cleaning up even though others still there as well, was at best rude.

Pros: Nice rooms with great view, nice food and good coffee for breakfast. Very friendly reception staff managed to find a quieter room for us since we were not too happy withe the noise from kitchen in the first night.
Cons: A bit busy at breakfast but attentive staff. Try to avoid rooms above kitchen and dining hall if a quiet room is important to you. Hotel is nice and modern but everywhere are fashion clothing pictures form the nineties and mannequins with outdated dresses which to us seemed kind of weird.

Pros: Location - extremely close to the beach! Couldn't have asked for better! The swimming pool is fantastic and surrounded by grass and palm trees. The staff are very friendly and helpful, we had an issue with the aircon on the 1st day and they went out of their way to fix it, and ended up giving is another room. Overall we had a wonderful time and will definitely look into returning next year!

The small balcony had chairs and a small table so good to sit and have a drink and watch the world go by. We took advantage of the fabulous outdoor pool with plenty of sun lounges, plus a decent size indoor pool and spa, as well as a well equipped gym room. Breakfast was an amazing spread, plenty of hot and cold options. Location is excellent, very close to the bus station, Europcar is a short walk if you need a hire car. Short walk to the old town or marina areas for food and drinks.

Bright and you could easily spend a day just wandering around the grounds. Breakfast was great lots of options. But same everyday for the 4 days some slight changes would be better. Cons: Bedroom and bathroom very clean apart from a 'dodgy dirty' and broken toilet brush !! I was in room 1115 Bed - I didn't have a very good sleep the first night because of the mattress. I turned the mattress around and this was much better. It is esssential that you rotate the mattresses on a regular basis. Apart from these points I enjoyed my stay.

Cons: The hotel is very tired and needs a complete renovation especially the outside areas. Very disappointed when we arrived as there was so many areas that was awful. Black on walls, plaster falling off, so many dark areas by the outside rooms which needs attention. Our bathroom was dated too as there was black mould and stained shower tray. The whole bathroom was tired. It’s quite spread out so if you cannot walk far let reception know as there are a lot of stairs to the rooms

Cons: We had a room (2021) that was a fishbowl to everyone walking towards our wing of the resort. This made it impossible to have the curtains open as we were only in the room to sleep, change and get ready for the day.

Cons: I normally don’t mind cold pool water but the pool at the hotel was way too cold to enjoy. And everyone around me agreed. They also should have a system for take away options in the restaurants. And lastly the beach club was great location. But again the pool was too cold and a big negative was they said you could use the property but you had to pay 80 euro to use a lounger. That was very bad. And they were mostly empty. I won’t come back because it’s a big negative. Change that and the pool temperature Id recommend it. The price when booked through booking .com pricing was good. Posted hotel price no way is it worth that with no full use of beach club etc.Also drinks should be a little more affordable to compete with bars in the area. They’d have more people drink. Also the house keeping didn’t take dirty cups and we had pay for coffee pods in the room.

Cons: Check-in no sooner than 16h00 came what may: I sent a message requesting an earlier check-in and the management did not even had the courtesy to reply.. No amenities (soap or gel); Wi-Fi only if you are willing to pay 5€ per day and leave a 50€ deposit; The TV is an old CRT (cathode ray tube), very small and with very low contrast; Faulty cleaning; There were four spiderwebs in the ceiling when we arrived which were removed after complaint; Cleaning is made twice a week, and the day of arrival counts a cleaning. Shady electric installation: a power cord hanging from the wall; a broken electric plug, repaired with scotch tape; The apartment is 300m from the swimming pool. The pictures of the one room apartment are misleading. They are from the one AND the two-room apartments. You will get the one with the oven in the living room. The separate kitchen is only for the two-room apartment. The furniture is old and needs urgent repair.

Pros: Very Good Hotel with Exellent Location in Lagos City ! Located well just in 500 meters from Famous Donna Anna Beach. More than 100 Bars, Restaurants and Tavernas are located just in 5-7 minutes walking from the Hotel. The room with balcony was very clean and the bed was comfortable. Very friendly and helpful people working in the Hotel speaking well English language. The breakfast was very good with enough wide range of different food and beverages. More wider than in other 3 Stars Hotels I have seen in Algarve during my 2 weeks trip to Southern Portugal. So, if You are looking for good, clean and not very expensive 3 Star Hotel this one could be a right choice for You. My positive recommendations for all types of Travellers and I hope You will like Your stay in Very Nice Lagos City !!!

Pros: Great quick check in - very helpful lady on reception on arrival and departure. Location was within the old town - so very central. We had asked for parking & a space was kept for us the first day of arrival - but after that it was first come first served. room; Clean bathroom had a shower over bath (small size bath), we had a double room - powerful aircon which was not noisy, really comfy huge bed (2 singles, joined), crisp bedding & spotless room - with some character as it still had original parquet flooring & wood wardrobe/fittings. manual roller shades outside balcony doors which blocked out the light, inner curtains did the remainder. It was not double glazed, but it was quiet enough. Only noticed the other bedroom doors closing noisily as they were wooden. Balcony had the sun for most of the afternoon. Breakfast was simple but sufficient - fresh juices, yoghurt, teas, coffee machine, cereals, cooked eggs, ham/chees, with rolls or brioche buns. local restaurants are plentiful & friendly - great meals at La Esterella, Arribale and at Arc de Velha.. (the latter is small, they do simple food with big tastes & lovely staff)

Pros: With the staff no problem. The location is VERY difficult to reach by car. But it's the room. I got room on ground floor. single tinny door. WHOLE NIGHT disturbing from other guests and banging on the front door because some did not have a key, and the telephone ringing while nobody is answering. Then very early staff is preparing breakfast and the list goes on. Did not sleep that night. So sorry but not for me anymore. special as I mention this problem to reception in the morning, where the lady told me , yes I know that room is a nightmare. Then as advertised the room was €63,00 but charged to my credit card is €69,00. MR. A.B. sPAIN

Cons: in terms of accommodation, I can't complain. It met all the basic criteria at this pricepoint . the only thing was we had assumed we would have parking all through the stay - important as we had hired a car to drive back & forth all weekend to the Portimao racetrack - having said that, there were 2 pay to park carparks, and at least one free parking car park - we used the latter on one evening and the car was still there and unharmed in the morning!!

Cons: The room i booked had to be with balcony. We have been placed on the road floor with cars and noise all night. The receptionist was rude and when i complained he answered me that my room was given away before my arrival and that he gave me the suite instead. A suite looking at a street with cockroaches in the bathroom is not exactly what i call a suite. I reminded the receptionist that they simply shouldn't well what they do not have and that i booked few hours before the arrival. Also at the arrival the receptionist was sitting on his chair like it was at home, laying, and chatted for 15 minutes with a guest without even looking at me or saying a word. When i asked if that was the reception, he answered me back: you see? I am with a customer. Only in that moment he moved from his laying on a sofa position and start showing the map on the person. After 25 minutes i was served.

Cons: The breakfast was nothing special. Not much to offer vegans or vegetarians, so it made it not worth the price of whole breakfast, even if it were included in the room charge. The facilites were more or less sanitary, but they were old and there was mold all over the bathroom. There was also a terrible rotting smell coming from the plumbing. We were unaware of the type of businesses surrounding the hotels location, and were taken by surprise when all of the party people who had gathered in the surrounding area to be so loud, that it kept us from sleep until 5 am. The following day, the hotel staff moved us from the 1st floor to the 3rd floor which was a minimal improvement. Point is, don´t book here if you want good if any sleep. There are DOZENS of bars in the immediate area, and while it is a central location, it is also at the very epicenter of the late-night scene. The building is old and not well-insulated, making everything outside very audible. Also, plan to not find a parking spot. The parking is only public parking directly in front of the hotel, and the spots are limited. This made our stay all the more that unpleasant, even though we were told in advance that parking was not guaranteed.
