High quality hotel Very nice and relaxed atmosphere. Very professional and helpful/forthcoming staff. Excellent location for skiing and own shuttle bus to the ski lifts Very nice and big rooms. Super nice restaurant with high ambitions. The wine card was excellent with a broad selection of high quality Italian red wines. But also local super nice wines from the Aosta Valley. Will come back soon!
The staff worked hard to ensure we had a good stay. There is free parking outside. The sauna on the garden was perfect to end a day on the slopes. Clean and warm ski room with excellent boot rack. Regular bus trip to the bottom lift even though this was only a 5 minute walk. The reception staff were willing to book local restaurants etc. Breakfast was excellent with a variety of cereals, pastries cakes, cheese and meat - with the addition of a cooked egg option! The ski area links to La Rosiere with great quality snow, the blacks down to the lift station are challenging, with red options around the side of the mountain and you can take a short cut back to Chalet Eden. Beginners have access to great snow at the top of the Cable car and just need to ride down. We skied the Vallee Blanche from the fanatastic ( and Q free) Monte Bianco lift, catching the bus back from Chamonix at 17:30. To be recommended provided you book a Guide.
The 4 course evening menu attached to the half board option was slightly more than we needed as a family having indulged a pasta lunch on the slopes, however the food was excellent. We discussed this with the owners who were receptive to the idea of a more flexible evening menu. The alternative a la carte was more expensive. If you don't eat in the hotel - all the local restaurants run a two sitting option - 7 or 9:30. If you don't book in advance for the whole week then you might end up wandering around town wondering if you are going to get dinner!
Nice hotel though being refurbished - this information not on your web site. Reasonably close to ski lift. Family oriented hotel. Very nicely decorated modern rooms.
La Thuile: congested by cars, chaotic ski hire, busy lifts, poor piste to return to resort, main piste closed as World Cup event in February. Chalet Eden: refurbishment in progress, arrogant restaurant manager who was disdainful of my lack of knowledge of local wines, fine dining menu not suitable for teenagers who expect a more simple/basic choices.
Great place, clean and comfortable!
Wonderful location just out of the town. Beautiful building with classy mountain design and plenty of nice touches. Very comfortable and cozy. Breakfast very nice also. Will try to come back.
A bit too warm and difficult to adjust in room temperature.
Located in La Thuile, Chalet Eden is in the mountains, within a 15-minute drive of Les Suches Cable Car and Fourclaz Express Ski Lift. Featured amenities include a business center, multilingual staff, and luggage storage. A roundtrip airport shuttle is available for a surcharge.
