Friendly, helpful owner and staff. Good breakfast and excellent coffee. Good location, very central and close to beach.
The rooms need urgent renovation. Basically everything is old and broken. Tiny shower, very noisy AC, old smelly mattresses, broken shelves, no wardrobe(!), blocked drains, broken door-locks... not worth the high price.
personel didn't speak other languages than portuguese, internet was barely reachable..the manager wasn't helpful at all, if somebody weight over 110 kg and is average high, he will have problems in getting under the shower - the door width is around 30cm..the windows are wooden not from glass..so if you wanted to have a view you had to shut down the ac , and if you wanted to have chill in the room you had to close the view..stupid
Very nice hotel, right on the beach. Staff was very nice and helpful, went out of their way to make sure we had everything we needed. The pasta in the connected restaurant is a must! With the hotel proprietor being Italian, it is easy the best pasta in town. Also, the jacuzzi was really nice after a warm day on the beach, and it open 24-7 (with the exception of cleaning at 5 am). With only 7-8 rooms as far as I could tell, I highly recommend this intimate, welcoming hotel!
The pousada is right next to the beach, which is really nice. The breakfast was good (fruits, cake, eggs, juices,...).
We had difficulties with the paiement. On arrival, the manager wasn’t there, so they told us we should pay later. We tried to ask during our stay, but the manager was never there. The last day, we had a pick up at 9am, so we asked to pay around 8.30am. It was really difficult, and in the end, we managed to pay after 9, which was really inconfortable, we almost missed our transfert. Regarding the rooms, they are very old. For that amount of money, it would be nice to have a better shower and a refreshed bathroom, room,... we paid too much for what we got.
The pousada is only a few steps away from the beach and its a great location for watching the sunset if you are not up for a hike up the dune everyday. Upon arrival we noticed that the restaurants and bars next door were quite loud and worried we would not be able to sleep, but that was never an issue as music usually stopped around 8:00 pm. We really enjoyed how lively the area was and there were plenty of food and drink options around if you didn't want to take a long walk. Also available next door are board rentals for a variety of activities. Felix, the pousada owner was fantastic and we enjoyed talking to him as well as his attention to make sure we had what we needed, as well as helping with questions regarding tours and booking our transfer back to Fortaleza. Having a full size fridge and a sink in the room, as well as plenty of space to dry off clothes was a nice surprise. We kept our fridge stoked with water and we were even able to put together some sandwiches with a few basic items from the grocery store. Would be extra nice to have a set of dishes and silverware in there, but they were provided upon request so no big deal. The breakfast that was provided was not super varied and some items could be changed out more often, but the coffee was good and they were willing to make omelettes and tapioca to order which made up for the other not so hot items. Overall a good breakfast!
While the staff was mostly super friendly, they were never quite in a rush to get anything done, it seems like I had to ask a couple of times to get the hammock outside my room up, same as inquiring about laundry prices. All issues were eventually solved but could get frustrating at times. Our room had issues with ants on one of the walls and around the fridge area, which cleared up when room cleaning was done but would flare back up by the end of the day. It was otherwise a clean, basic room with beds a bit hard in our opinion. The quality of towels varied wildly, some were nice and new and some were clearly clean but to the point of almost fraying thin, specially the drying mats. The lovely indoor patio where the pool, a few dining tables, and sitting areas are cannot be enjoyed as ants will immediately start biting on your feet. I know it's directly on the sand, so it could be a natural occurrence outside of their control, however this did not seem to be an issue in other foot in the sand establishments such as restaurants and bars.
