Eskibag Butik Hotel

We visited Büyükada off-season in the beginning of December. Granted, there were still a lot of tourists, but it's nothing in comparison to the crowds in Istanbul. If you need a short break, or just want to enjoy the nature instead of concrete and bricks, Büyükada (or any of the other islands) is a close destination. The hotel is conveniently located and in a fairly quiet street. Finding it wasn't as easy as we hoped it would be. For some reason, Google Maps doesn't show the correct location. Had we paid attention to the LED sign on the main road, we would have found it much faster ;). Check in was fast and efficient. Our room was on the second floor, overlooking the street in the front. The room we had was fairly small, but had everything one needs. The cleanliness was immaculate - I have stayed in a few hotels in Turkey and this one was by far the cleanest. The staff were really friendly and helpful. We originally booked the room for a Friday night (no changes, no refund). However, something came up and we had to change the reservation to Monday night. We phoned the hotel and they agreed to change the reservation at no extra cost. I guess it's not something they do in the peak season as they would probably be fully booked, but I was very happy with their flexibility in this regard. Unfortunately, we only stayed for one night and didn't see as much as we would have liked. The next visit will have to be longer.
