The facility was more than enough for this price including our own room and common spaces. We'd love to come back!!
Location was easy to find
No curtains on beds. No hangers in room. Not sufficient lockers in dorms. Beds not made when checking in. Charging 1 pound to keep luggage for 2hrs on the ground before checkin time of 1500hrs is a bit unnecessary. Bathrooms are cramped in dorms.
Close to central city and good fitness centre near by also. Plenty of options for eating out for all budgets.
Mattresses incredibly uncomfortable - can feel all the springs through the material. Not really any comfortable places to chill outside of room - lounge has alot of space but often packed and no comfy chairs to sit in. Lockers in rooms need a heavy duty lock purchased from reception to actually lock doors - nobody's padlocks in our room were actually able to prevent doors being opened. Would have been nice to have a heads up about this.
Very warm & comfortable, Super Location in an Excellent City. My First experience of Glasgow and loved it..
Nothing i did not like.
The location is perfect, walking distance from everything. The kitchen was great. It was missing a few utensils, but you could work it out.
Sooo... I have to start with the bed, that was so bad... Could feel all the springs. Couldn't really sleep. Next!? Showers, bathroom etc are inside the room. Why is it bad!? Everytime someone would use it, the sensor lights would go on and take a really long time to go off. So yeah, not really the best sleep arrangement. The place is massive, maybe that's why it's weird. The "common area" is just this massive open space with a few tables and a couch facing the TV. I really don't think they should be called hostel, it doesn't have the hostel vibe. As a solo traveler, it was quite hard to meet people... Oh, and they charge £1 to leave your backpack in a room that didn't feel safe at all.
