Pros: Everything! The views from the pool area are beautiful and it was so relaxing to spend time there. We loved the idea of breakfast hampers every morning. The property is a ten minute walk into the Old Town where we enjoyed wandering in the evenings. We had an amazing time at Montjuic B&B-thank you, Carmen.

Pros: Awsome, we loved the place!!
Cons: We didn’t like that we had to leave
9,2 Excellent
Pros: It was a very pleasant B & B on the hill; relaxing with a swimming pool and newly installed spa. There is a bus service every 30 mins €1.40 each way if you don’t want to walk the 20 mins. The breakfast is value for money (optional) and is brought to your room. You are provided a container of water, tea and coffee each day which you use the jug in the kitchen. Carmen has made this B & B a real home away from home, very hospitable and obliging hosts. Highly recommend if you want a place out of the main Jewish quarter.
Cons: The only thing I would comment on, It would be good if You had use of the refrigerator for longer stays. As this time of year it is very warm and to keep your water and snacks cool.
10,0 Excellent

Pros: Javier the host is very kind and helpful, he knows very good places to eat and visit. Breakfast is delicious. The rooms are well isolated from noise from the street, which is good since the location of the B&B is excellent, in a street full of restaurants, in front of the tourist office. A really good place to stay and visit Girona.
10,0 Excellent
Pros: Very comfortable, good breakfast with home made jams. Very accommodating and helpful .
8,8 Excellent
Pros: We were made to feel very welcome We liked the central location It was great to stay in accommodation with such a history
Cons: The shower
10,0 Excellent
Pros: Amazing hospitality and kind gestures really made our first time in Girona extra special. We had travel advice, tips on local eating and homemade jam for breakfast! Location was excellent as only a few minutes walk from Cathedral steps, would highly recommend for a romantic city break/long stay in Catalonia!
Cons: I can’t think of negative points! Even the shared bathroom felt private as we didn’t seem to share with any other guests.
9,2 Excellent
Pros: Location is fantastic, right in the old historic quarter next to pedestrian streets with loads of restaurants and cafes seated outside. Javi is a great host, incredibly friendly and helpful - a joy to deal with. And the B&B has lots of charm, beautifully decorated and comfortable, spotlessly clean. Highly recommended!
Cons: I suppose the breakfast was ordinary, considering you're paying for B&B. It consisted of sliced pan to toast and a wide variety of homemade jams (which everyone raves about as being superb and you can purchase to take away) plus some basic cooked meats. Might have expected hot breakfast options, such as eggs or bacon - not a big deal but potential for better choice! Also the towels in the room are very scratchy, obviously dried on the line in the sun - again not a deal breaker by any means but this section does invite some constructive opinions.
10,0 Excellent
Pros: Everything. The location was perfect and the room was lovely overlooking the rambla. Olga and Jave were both very kind and provided lots of good advice. The homemade jams were excellent.
Cons: Nothing to mention

10,0 Excellent
Pros: Proprietors Josep and Sandra, provide a first class bed and breakfast type experience in a 4 star hotel in the heart of a 12th century village in the historic Girona, Spain region. The rooms are tastefully contemporary while maintaining the charm of the original building. The bedrooms open up to a patio and peaceful garden where we were serenaded day and night by songbirds. The king size bed made up with cool cotton sheets was very comfortable and the shower/bath with glass partition gave the appearance of spaciousness. We were greeted daily with a varied European breakfast complete with Iberian ham, sausage and local cheeses, breads, croissants and fresh fruit, juices and yogurt. The Nespresso coffee was available through the day. Either Sandra or Josep were on hand to prepare a cold drink or glass of wine from the fully stocked bar in the reception area. We also appreciated their mastery of the English language and their suggestions of what to see in the area. After 4 nights of rest and relaxation we were ready to brace the hustle and bustle of Barcelona.
9,6 Excellent
Pros: Beautiful village and surrounding area and the hotel is modern while maintaining a historical appearance, in-keeping with the village. Staff are real lovely people and the facilities fantastic. Also worth having an evening meal as our food was excellent

5,4 Okay
Pros: lovely location, nice staff
Cons: no ac, shower too small and doesn t close well, lacks ventilation in bathroom, b fast rather limited
10,0 Excellent
Pros: The breakfast is a continental breakfast of fruit, bread, cold meats, tea, coffee and orange juice. For site seeing it is a fantastic location, about a minute walk from the Cathedral and museum. Between the hotel and cathedral is the wonderful La Ferla restaurant, which is a delightful, small establishment, perfect if you don't fancy a big up hill walk back to the hotel. It is also within easy reach of the most iconic restaurant in Girona, La Bistrot, the restaurant on the steps, which appears in just about every article on Girona. The staff are excellent, friendly and helpful.
Cons: There is not much the hotel can do about its location, however, if you struggle with hills or steps, this is not the place for you, also there is no lift at the hotel, and no space to put one, if as we were, you are on the fourth floor, it is a steep trek. Girona, the old part, and the Roman walls are on a hill side, not wheel chair friendly, but I doubt that was a concern when it was built a thousand years ago.
8,8 Excellent
Pros: Location is more than excellent, friendly and helpful staff, well preserved old building and decent breakfast.
Cons: Lack of good air conditioning, a better ventilator would may be be enough. Wifi offered as soon as you check in.
8,8 Excellent
Pros: Great location in old town, but rmake sure to read the instructions about how to find with GPS. Staff very helpful...waited very late to meet us when flight was delayed.

Cons: The shower was a bit small to get in and out of.
10,0 Excellent
Pros: Amazing location. Gorgeous interior. Even better staff.

6,7 Good
Pros: Great location and lovely patio for breakfast
Cons: Our room was quite small and the shower was tiny
10,0 Excellent
Pros: Lovely staff, comfy beds, clean and tidy
10,0 Excellent
Pros: Everything especially the staff, breaky & the charm of the place
Cons: Having to leave
7,9 Good
Pros: Charming hotel, lovely breakfast served in a super little courtyard. The hotel is set in the old town, just round the corner from the cathedral, and this is a lovely and historic area. The only difficulty we had, is that the old town is up many, many steps from the rest of the town so it certainly was a strenuous climb back up each evening or whenever we went out of the old town. However, if you are prepared for this, the Bellmirall is a lovely place to stay.
Cons: Maybe that the wash hand basin is in the bedroom with the shower & loo separate. I did find it a bit tedious having to come out of the bathroom every time to wash my hands and brush my teeth. However, some rooms do have a complete en-suite and initially we were to have a separate bathroom (out of the room) but on arrival we were given this room which was a bonus from our point of view. It is only a minor point and did not detract from our stay really.

Cons: Nothing its great little hotel ok it's a 15 minute walk to city centre but it's a flat walk across the river..its no problem..oh breakfast coffee machine can be a challenge great fresh orange juice
9,6 Excellent
Pros: Room fantastic enormous bed great shower big TV
Cons: Nothing all good
10,0 Excellent
Pros: The breakfast was good quality. Good coffee at a buffet breakfast is rare in most hotels. The coffee machine is Nespresso and their orange juice is freshly squeezed. Excellent. Top marks. The rooms are a good standard with a fridge and tea ans coffee facilities. I would like to see the toileteries, which are single use plastics replaced by large refillable containers which are fixed in the shower etc. It will be more economical and better for the environment.
Cons: Nothing, but I always like to have cold water available in reception
10,0 Excellent
Pros: Fabulous restaurant, breakfast, staff, cycling friendly,
Cons: Nothing
Hotel Historic - Girona - Hallway

8,8 Excellent (734 reviews)
R1 703+
Overview Reviews
With a stay at Hotel Historic in Girona (Old Town), you'll be steps from Girona Cathedral and Girona's Museum of Art. The front desk is staffed during limited hours.
10,0 Excellent
Cons: It was a lovely room and a beautiful hotel but would really have appreciated a kettle in the room.
10,0 Excellent
Pros: Hotel Historic on the street Carrer de Bellmirall quickly became one of my favorite stays. This family-owned gem at the top of old Girona boasts cavernous stone common areas, a small communal balcony-with-a-view on the top floor, and a perfect location for people who enjoy meandering through the medieval and pristine walkways. The innkeepers tended to our needs and questions, were accommodating and hospitable. Just note that other hotels have a similar name. Hotel Historic is on Bellmirall.
8,0 Excellent
Cons: WiFi when needed was poor. Patio door did not lock as securely as I would have liked.
9,6 Excellent
Pros: Lovely room, excellent location a few yards from the cathedral. Perfect in every way
9,2 Excellent
Pros: Room was very nice, but they need a shower curtain or a screen in the bath, it is impossible to have a shower without spilling water
10,0 Excellent
Pros: Gorgeous boutique hotel, room was beautiful, elegant and stylish, quality all around especially the fabulous bedding and towels! Right in the stunning old town of Girona - just a gorgeous location, everything is really close. Staff (owners?) super helpful - really recommend this place.
Cons: My taxi driver (I arrived from Tamariu) was not local so could not access easily (and he got completely lost). Not at all the hotel’s fault but the location in the windy streets of the old town means an ‘out of town’ driver could struggle like mine did. For my very early departure the hotel organized a taxi and it was perfect, on time, right outside the door, good safe driver. I’d really recommend liaising with the hotel on how to arrive with a local driver as it could avoid some stress!
9,6 Excellent
Pros: Quiet, and modern.
Cons: Due to the location, parking was a bit complicated, but we managed to find free parking a 5-minute walk away.
10,0 Excellent
Pros: The rooms were so nice and also the handmade furniture was so beatiful. We thought that we are accomodated in an art gallery :) It was the most beatiful hotel we’ve ever been to..And also the owners were so kind to us and always gave us a good advice or helped us with everything that we needed :) Excellent breakfast!
9,0 Excellent
Pros: Location great..breakfast excellent
Cons: All good
9,6 Excellent
Pros: Loved the original stone work and the decor in keeping with the historic charm but with excellent modern twist complimenting the charm perfectly. We also loved the fact that this is a family run hotel and admired the light fittings made by a family member. Good breakfast too and we appreciated the welcome bottle of wine in our room. The 4 poster bed was particularlly comfortable.
Cons: The building adjacent is being renovated as part of the hotel and the noise from the work was a little intrusive, however this is a minor point as there was no noise at night, nor did work commence too early in the morning.

8,3 Excellent
Pros: We did not do breakfast. Staff very professional and friendly. Nice little bar and location was great.
9,6 Excellent
Pros: The location could not have been better. Two minutes walk to the main square and restuarants. The breakfast was pretty good, and the staff pleasant and very helpful. The indoor pool, rest area, hot showers and fluffy white towels were the perfect requirement after a day walking around Girona in a hot day.
Cons: The view was different!! We were two metres form the wall of another large building.

10,0 Excellent
Pros: Great hotel just across the river from the old town. Quiet. Comfy beds.

Pros: good hotel (nothing extra, nothing bad) with perfect location
2,5 Mediocre
Cons: very unfriendly staff, air condition was not working and the floors had a horrible smell.
9,7 Excellent
Pros: Warm courteous staff, cool vibe, great location
7,5 Good
Pros: The property was overall good. Nothing to rant and rave about but simply good. Big comfortable and clean rooms, nice toilet amenities and a lovely little pool and spa area. The hotel is situated in Girona town centre, more to the old part of the city which is a bonus. You have everything you need around you. Restaurants and of course, the iconic cathedral!
Cons: The property was overpriced for what it was. I understand that it’s located centrally but there’s nothing really special about it. I personally didn’t eat at the restaurant simply for the fact of how expensive it was. Breakfast wasn’t good and to top it off, It’s £14.50 per person. That’s with our “discount”. The elevator always seems to be broken and when it does work it moves at snail pace. It wasn’t really an issue for me as I can run up and down the stairs but for elderly people or disabled, it isn’t exactly ideal.
6,3 Good
Pros: The hotel is well located, access to the old city my crossing a food bridge
Cons: the air-con in the room did not work properly, which was anoying during a hot summer night.

This boutique hotel with free Wi-Fi houses a Michelin Star Restaurant. It is in the centre of this charming town, less than 1 km from the Lake of Banyoles. The Ca L’Arpa is set in a 19th-century house and offers attractive design. It is a short walk to Banyoles’s main square. Some rooms offer a private balcony and air conditioning; while others have a private terrace. Ca L’Arpa’s restaurant offers modern versions of traditional recipes. It uses local and seasonal ingredients. Historic Girona is only 15 km away and the Dalí Museum in Figueres is within 30 km. The surrounding area is ideal for cycling and hiking. There are also golf courses nearby.
8,3 Excellent
Pros: Fabulous restaurant at a good place to stay!
8,8 Excellent
Pros: The deserts
Cons: Some issues in the room furniture
8,8 Excellent
Pros: This is a family hotel with a Michelin Star Chef at its head. It is therefore an amazing gastronomic experience, with the breakfasts being unmissable. Do eat there in the evening you’ll find great value in the menu de “goges”. We stayed in a superior room and the bed was very large and comfortable. Thee was a very large storage area for clothes etc and two shower options which I appreciated. The rooms are spotless. The towels large and soft. Staff are very friendly and were able to accommodate our two bicycles, as we made the most of cycling around the area, especially the nearby lake. There is free parking in adjacent streets and you can drop off stuff directly outside the hotel in the taxi area for 10 minutes.
Cons: For the room price I would have expected some complimentary drinks, (tea, coffee, water) to have been available in the room. Although Chef did without hesitation provide us with a flask of boiling water on request. I would also suggest placing the body lotion outside of the shower/ bath cubicle rather than within it.
6,7 Good
Cons: Chef did not arrive for breakfast.. so no breakfast available
8,8 Excellent
Pros: A beautiful boutique hotel run by a Michelin starred chef. We were attending a wedding and so were unfortunately not able to enjoy eating in the restaurant. Our friends did though and raved about it.
6,7 Good
Cons: Breakfast starts 8.30
7,5 Good
Pros: I could not eat at the hotel because 1. Brekkie was 8-10.30 am....i was rowing coaching and could not get an early breakfast 2. Dinner - the restaurant did not open until 9pm. I was up daily at 6am, for the rowing coaching. I cannot therefore eat so late. i would prefer to eat at 7pm.
Cons: Eating times did not suit me. No cafe at the hotel. No coffee / cakes available
10,0 Excellent
Pros: Clean, comfortable and central. Excellent breakfast.
9,2 Excellent
Pros: Lovely family run (I think) establishment, with nice bedrooms and a great restaurant. Premium decor and finish, and run/maintained by a small number of staff, including the chef and I assume, owner, which makes it feel more personal. The location is perfect and there's free street parking a short walk away, with the heart of the Old Town a short walk in the other direction. Also close to the famous Lake of Banyoles and good for accessing Besalu, which is a must-see medieval town.
Cons: There was Aircon but it was struggling to deal with the 38° heat. I think we would have been better in a smaller, standard room as it would have cooled down better as slightly smaller and without the huge windows acting as greenhouse glass! This didn't ruin the stay and the room came down to an okay temperature. Outside of August I'm sure the bigger room would be fine.
10,0 Excellent
Pros: Cuisine excellent
Cons: Reception unmanned for 15 mins when I arrived. They seemed to be busy in the kitchen.

2,0 Mediocre
Pros: Not much
Cons: Every charge seemed legitimate until you saw what you were getting, the breakfast, the parking, the room. Everything was misleading
6,7 Good
Pros: The location of the hotel was perfect. The breakfast was food.
Cons: Airconditioning problems for two weeks! A lot of sound during the breakfast. Much sound in kitchen. Starts also a bit late 7.30. For work was start at 7.00 better. During cleaning the room they take always the plastic cup what you should use by toothbrusing, not place a new one..

Pros: The staff were very friendly, helpful and polite. The room was comfortable and clean. We didn't have breakfast in the restaurant as didn't need a huge breakfast. So we ate breakfast in their café which was very nice. They were able to provide toast too! The staff in the cafe were really friendly, one of the waitresses seemed to really enjoy working for the hotel, she was so helpful, let us practice our Catalan with her when ordering our food. The hotel was in a great location near to everything but was a quiet location, no noise at night. We would stay again.
Cons: There wasn't anything we didn't like.
9,2 Excellent

10,0 Excellent
Pros: Great location. Very stylish. With very modern facilities it felt like a brand new Hotel. We often stay in Double Tree Hotels in the USA and actually this is far nicer than any others we have stayed in. The staff from reception to housekeeping were very friendly. The perfect Hotel for Girona.
Cons: Nothing
5,4 Okay
Pros: Cookies
Cons: 1) We chose this hotel because of parking, but there was no free place on the hotel’s parking. It was strange, as the didn’t require to book parking place beforehand. We had to search the parking ourselves almost at night, in unknown city... 2) When we finally found parking place, it was late and we hoped to have dinner in the hotel, because there were no restaurants near it. It was near 11 pm. But the restaurant in the hotel didn’t work at this time. The girl at the reception told us, that there were tapas and salads in the bar on the roof. When we came in the bar, there was nothing there except drinks... and the barman told us to go in Macdonalds
8,3 Excellent
Pros: Very clean & spacious rooms. Nice rooftop pool to cool off in. AC was good. Staff friendly. 15-20 min walk to the old town. Cookie on arrival.
Cons: Shower screen leaked causing bathroom to flood which was annoying.
8,3 Excellent
Pros: The location. I only had one evening and it was quite near the train station which suited me. The staff were very friendly.
Cons: I was feeling lazy and decided to have dinner at the hotel. In retrospect, I shouldn't have. The dining room was just about empty which might say something and in fairness being vegan didn't help. The waiter did go out of his way to help but I didn't feel that I got value for money and that it was just pasta with a bottle of sauce. I think the dining room lacks a certain something.
9,2 Excellent
Pros: Very friendly and efficient check-in staff
8,3 Excellent
Pros: Comfortable room

Pros: There was wide selection of food at the breakfast table.
Cons: Really strong sigaret smoke came to the room from the air-conditioner, when we turned it on. So it could not be used. And the hotel was supposed to be smoking free...
8,3 Excellent
Pros: It would be nice if the bar & restaurant were open all day. The restaurant is very nice but it's perhaps too formal for the clientele (if that makes sense). A went there for cycling and the bike storage, while much appreciated. involves getting a separate key from reception: it would be easier just to use your room key.
Cons: I have stayed there before and I like it, but the main problem is the hotel is a bit too far away from the centre. not really a problem for me, though I can see it could be an issue.
