We didn't like a lot unfortunately. Only its convenient location close to the old town, which we enjoyed exploring.
Where to start. There are many reasons to avoid this substandard hotel in our opinion unfortunately. Don't book it as it doesn't really deliver even the basics. Firstly, there's a nightclub downstairs with loud music and yelling people outside it which if you're positioned in certain rooms like ours will keep you up all night. The hotel owners are obviously aware of this because they had left earplugs out on the side (although only one pair so we couldn't both use some!). Don't bother staying here at all if you value good sleep. Secondly, the toilet was separated off away from the rest of the bathroom in a completely separate cupboard-like room so small my partner (average height man) could not close the door to enclose himself in it because his legs didn't fit in! So we had zero privacy while using the loo, which was kind of funny but also ridiculous given it's such a basic requirement! Thirdly, the woman on Reception who greeted us the evening we arrived was totally disinterested and unwelcoming. The guy we met on Reception the following day was much friendlier, but that didn't make up for generally poor service and attitude. Finally, breakfast was disappointing, and although we didn't mind eating in the room it highlighted that there are no common areas or dining areas to enjoy in the hotel. Take our advice and give this place a miss.
Close to my business meeting
Hotel pretty run down It is really noisy as you can hear people from the rooms next to or above you. I appreciate that Geneva is an expensive town but there is a minimum of improvements to be done that would actually make the hotel better: Panels at the bottom of the doors so the light from the corridor would not filter in The breakfast team could be a little less noisy when preparing breakfast especially of rooms as close by. Don't hide a broken plug with a chair... it doesn't look really good when the guest sees it And make the guests a little bit more welcome. I was not offered a free travel card for Geneva on arrival, nor was the young lady at reception be willing to help me much when it came to dinner options in the area especially when coming in late. It might be good for people who are on a budget but I guess that next time I am in Grneva I might stay in France and commute instead of staying in Geneva
Free breakfasts each day (cheeses, bread, coffee, hot chocolate), excellent location, balcony, very accommodating and helpful staff, very clean shared bathrooms, very comfortable beds, very fast wi-fi
Lack of certain amenities (e.g. toothpaste and tissue), no access to English TV channels, shower right in front of room door
the location is good
- the hotel change my reserved room to another one (doesn't contain bathroom like I reserved ) so it made me very angry. - the hotel doesn't have multi choices for breakfast (like they said) and gave us the breakfast in the room without any more choices so also made me very angry. - my shared bathroom is a store for towels and cleaning stuff and located in the hotel reception so I didn't feel it's a private bathroom like I reserved. - I asked the Hotel receptionist (Pierre) to change my room like I reserved then he asked me to pay more (I couldn't understand how he asked me this question)
Very nice place, excellent choice value for money, family owned, safety location, good service. Of course, We will stay there again and We recommended this hotel
