Pros: Location
Cons: Asked to check in early, they agreed, then added 2500 yens to the price. 50% more!
9,6 Excellent
Pros: I absolutely adore the girl at the front desk. Her customer care skills are at the highest level, she tailored everything to our needs, gave us a bigger room at a new building they opened as a new hotel (Anchor hotel I believe), showed us around and was always very cheerful and helpful. The hotel itself is very nice and clean, the new building, which i in fact a converted apartment building, has big rooms with all amenities imaginable. We even got a balcony which is as rare as it comes in Japan. Location is perfect a few steps from the station and castle with a convenience store inbetween. Breakfast had a huge variety, including a selection of several curry types and a whole cabinet of herbal tea.
Cons: The dressing room at the onsen was kept a bit too cool, I'm not sure if it was the cause or if it only contributed but I got swimmer's ear soon after visiting. Another minor inconvenience was that when I went to the laundry room floor the corridor was filled with tobacco smoke.
8,8 Excellent
Pros: Breakfast fine, good choice, helpful staff.
Cons: There is no power point in the bathroom so I had to buy an extension cord from the bedroom to run some appliances.
10,0 Excellent
Pros: Great location just moments from the station, so perfect for getting out to places. Basic room but clean and comfortable.
Cons: Small room, but what we expected for the price.
10,0 Excellent
Pros: Very nice hotel, 3 minutes´ walk from the train station (JR / shinkansen) and Fukuyama castle. Most comfortable beds. Great breakfast with a selection of curry sauces.
10,0 Excellent
Pros: The receptionist offered us to stay at their new sister property just 30 meters down the road. The new hotel was absolutely beautiful - big room, comfortable tatami bed, spacious bathroom with shower. The hotel also offered complimentary breakfast. There is also a hot spring in the hotel which you can use for free. The best hotel we stayed so far in Japan.

6,3 Good
Pros: The swimming pool was okay, but hysterically hot. We could not stay for more than a couple of minutes.
Cons: The staff did not speak to us at all. Normally if japanese dont speak english they explain things in japanese and you can sort of figure stuff out. But they were just dead quiet and even when we spoke japanese to then they would not answer, just look embarrassed. It was all very weird! We went out to find food, but the area is filled with clubs with men hanging around outside and did not feel very safe for me and my 11 year old. Cannot recommend this place if you are travelling with children!
7,1 Good
Pros: Good
Cons: No
2,5 Mediocre
Cons: I prebooked the private bath but the front staff gave me the wrong paper with wrong password. :s So I couldn’t get in the right one and the worst is that the staff did not apologize and just said お願いします. Won’t book this hotel again.
10,0 Excellent
Pros: Our stay was comfortable and the top floor onsen was wonderful!
6,7 Good
Pros: very clean room and premises
Cons: Walls were very thin, we could hear everything happening in the corridors. The staff speaks really little English. Area a bit dodgy at night.

Pros: This Hotel was close to the station, breakfast was OK and the staff helpful and courteous. It is a good value budget hotel. Bed was a bit worn and slightly lumpy.
5,0 Okay
Pros: Breakfast was ok for a free buffet, staff were nice room was big . Good location for getting to Onomichi. Sangem restaurant across the road was good.
Cons: The mattress felt like it was filled with cement. The duvet was plasticky. I would pay them to never sleep here again. The room was creepy and the lighting was neon LED with no view from any window in the whole building, they were all fogged glass.

Pros: It is extremely close to the bicycle rental places and ferry terminal if you are going shimanani kaido it's a good spot.

8,8 Excellent
Pros: The staff is obliging and friendly.
Cons: The breakfast was pretty much the same almost every day and not kept warm
9,2 Excellent
Pros: Nice small hotel in an excellent location! It is directly across the street from a huge parking lot (paid) and bike rental place. For our purposes, it was an easy walk from the start of the Onomichi Temple Walk. The staff were easy to communicate with and rushed out to show us where we could park in their own lot. The room was comfortable and simple. Breakfast was alright. Check-in and out were easy and hassle-free.
8,3 Excellent
Pros: Japanese breakfast was lovely. Great location for starting Shimanami Kaido. 5 mins from station. 1 min from bike hire shop. 2 mins from ferry. Luggage storage.
Cons: Room was quite small. But as expected to be honest.
6,7 Good
Pros: The view of the sea was quite great. We stayed there, as many others I suppose, for the Shimanami kaido, in fact after the ride, we had to ask them if they could store the bikes inside and protected and they were fully prepared! They have a garage in which store many other bikes and such! The staff always tried their best to solve our problems while we were there.
Cons: I thought I did loose a thing of mine and maybe forgot it there, I noticed it a couple of days after my checkout, so I emailed them asking if they had maybe found it.. But I never received any answer. I get that our stay was over, and they wouldn't have any other money from us since we already paid, but a simple answer with yes or no would've been sufficient.. I mean it would've been plain courtesy to answer anything.. Also when we opened the fridge we found this huge 'monster' in the wall inside it, of course it wasn't anything to be worried about as we found later it was just some fixing paste of a previous hole, but it really didn't look nice on the moment! The staff asked us if we wanted to change room but we refused as we had already unpacked suitcases and were very tired. (and also because it wasn't a real problem, once we in fact found out what it actually was)
7,5 Good
Cons: Proximity to the bike rental, railway, ferry and harbour . Perfect location.
