Being up front with their fees, I went in with the misguided notion that my reservation would be honored at the amount agreed on. Instead I was charged my reservation amount with an additional “company policy fee” of $400 on top of what I was already paying for the actual rental. My $300 rental had now come out to over $700. I ended up getting a much nicer car than I had originally reserved due to low inventory at the same price as my original rental.
