Lovely accommodation. Highly recommend
Our host, Matthew, was incredibly kind, attentive and helpful in all the right ways. He helped us check in at 1pm although the site said 3pm. The room was lovely, super-clean and with lots of thoughtful details - such as sustainable approach to offering lovely range of toiletries, coffee and biscuits and a fabulous breakfast.
Couldn't fault it
Original features of the house
Bedroom furniture was dated
This is a special hotel which is near to amenities in Edinburgh, but out of the hurlyburly of the downtown. We were warmly greeted by Matthew who did not mind our earlier than scheduled arrival and he was always kind and helpful. The room was large and comfy with an excellent bathroom. Breakfast was also very good and in addition to the fried options there was an excellent choice of fresh fruit, yogurts etc. Also pleasing was the excellent choice of jams but served in their large jars so no wasted packaging. I would highly recommend this hotel.
No, everything was perfect.
The staff member was so very welcoming and friendly. I couldn’t believe it when I was greeted with a cafitiere of coffee and shortbread on arrival. He really couldn’t have been nicer. The breakfast was also really lovely with an array of fresh fruit and choice of cooked breakfast dishes. Don’t hesitate to books in here.
