Car was filthy inside. Drop of at BNE airport was terrible. Had to go into the airport to get trolley for luggage. Had to then go to level 2 to drop off the keys. Should have trolleys and someone on site to drop off.

Cons:

I had done my application online, but the Budget office at the Brisbane airport had NO WORKING INTERNET CONNECTION, so I was unable to show them what I had purchased on my laptop. Yep, that's right. I had to purchase a MORE EXPENSIVE deal there, and then had to drive downtown the next day to the Budget office and get it straightened out, and I'm still not sure that it was done properly.

Only one person at desk to check in customers, previous customer took forever to get checked in and even though I had provided all driver info online I still took 15-20 mins to check in. The car - a hybrid - was very easy to find and drive out of the airport environment. The hybrid was very fuel efficient and should be used as much as possible for rentals now.

You charged for a car I never hired

Pros:

The original lady i spoke to at Hendra was excellent. However had to make several calls to get advice on repairs to puncture i had recieved. Phone Brisbane office which then transfers you to Hendra where you have to wait lengthy waits at both places. Very frustrating.

Cons:

The actual cost was more than i expected in fact double because of insurance costs. Plus i had half a day getting a puncture repaired as tyre dealers didn't have the unusual size that Hyudai have put on there latest cars.

Pick up at the airport and drop off were all very quick and efficient. staff were great and fast. Expect an upsell for the insurance. Car was great (we got an I30). Should ensure you know where the petrol stations are before dropping car back as the closest ones are a couple of kilometers away! It wasn't until we got our confirmation email that we understood that picking up the car was going to be 6km away and that we would have to catch a free shuttle bus from the airport. This would have been good to know upfront at the time of booking. Whilst it wasn't inconvenient it was a surprise. It is better business practice to disclose the company you are hiring from too, Overall we had no issues with our transaction.

From the very beginning to end. our experience was perfect. The ladies at Apex Brisbane were very hospitable and professional. Picking us up from the airport in a very clean and tidy van, paper work was quick and easy. We felt very well taken care of. I will definitely be using them again and will highly recommend them to family and friends as well. You couldn’t pay me to drive a Suzuki Swift back home...until Inhired this car. Great customer service and this car was LEGEND.

Cons:

Honestly, the insurance cost more than I expected, but might as well make sure I have $0 liability Incase of a catastrophe. Everything else was top, 100%, LEGIT, LEGEND. Insurance wasn’t even that expensive so maybe I’m being a drama queen, haha!

The car was Matsuda’s CX-3 and I loved it. The key is automatically locked after leaving the car, the engine starts by only pushing the button, and it is fuel efficient. And above all, I could rent the car with no unnecessary options like insurance and road assistance, which I have never used in my life (Most shops silently add those options and it is really hard to cancel them for foreign travers who have no phone number in the country like me)

Cons:

I booked the premium car three months in advance - they didn't have one when I arrived. They offered either a large gas guzzling SUV or a Camry. I took the Camry, and they refused to give me a lower rate. End up paying hundreds of $ more than I should have for the 3-week rental, but it was 5:30am after a 14 hour flight and I wasn't about to go shopping elsewhere.

The counter staff were very helpful & friendly. The inside of the car was not fully detailed with there being rubbish left under the seats & a sticky residue all over the middle console which I had to clean myself.

More friendly service when we dropped off the car. One of the staff was unfriendly to customers when we entered the place. The bus driver dropped us off at the wrong airport terminal. When he dropped us off we thought we were at the international terminal, but we did not realize we were dropped off at the domestic airport. He did not tell us. I really think Alpha Car Rental staff need to be more helpful and friendly to foreign customers who are not familiar to Brisbane.

Pros:

The staff were very friendly and helpful. We decided we wanted to extend another day and called a few hours before we were due to return and Alpha were happy to add another day on at the same price - no excessive charge which was great. No complaints about the car either, great condition and very economical which helped with the overall expense of hiring a car!

Cons:

The pick up / shuttle service is a little clunky and adds time on to the overall exchange but it’s worth it for the cheaper price you get for shopping a little further a field.
