Everything was top notch except for a tiny mishap on the last night. Our room was lovely and clean, the staff was brilliant and it is a great location. The variety of food was excellent, whether breakfast, lunch or dinner. Bar prices are very reasonable considering the star rating of this hotel.
As I've said, a slight mishap on the last night over, can you believe it, a half bottle of Barbadillo. My wife, having bought a bottle of the said wine at lunchtime, asked for it to be sent to our dinner restaurant using the normal id collar. We'd actually done the same the night before with no problems. Unfortunately, staff couldn't access the bottle in time for her meal. Eventually the manager was called and his attitude was rather rude, arrogant and condescending. In fact, he gave a very poor example of public relations in front of his excellent junior staff. In the end, he granted us the half bottle, something he could have done right at the very beginning without the hustle. A public relations lady was waiting for us when we were about to leave. He'd informed her beforehand knowing there would be a complaint. She was lovely and took note of why we had complained. Look, everybody can have an off day, I suppose . I would recommend this hotel to anyone and I will certainly return. It takes more than a restaurant manager with an arrogant attitude to put me off if everything else was excellent. I will certainly be back.
There was no facilities foe have very hot milk to make your own coffee in the Restaurant for breakfast as the hot milk they serve you in a ceramic small jog is not hot enough but it's normally like this in most hotels where I have to make use of their microwave to reheat the milk so I can have a good HOT cup of decaf coffee so when I got back home today I immediately made a good cuppa which I might shed so much but I have visited many hotels in other parts of the world who normally have these facilities in your room but apart far that this hotel is 2nd to none
Very friendly staff. Very clean. Excellent setting. Excellent food. Entertainment very good.
As a wheelchair user there are some things that need improving _ the accessibility toilets were not always accessible because the doors open inwards and once the wheelchair is inside the toilet there is no way of closing the door. The doors would need to open outwards, which they did in some cases. _ the handle on the toilet doors would need to extend further across the centre of the door because sitting on the wheel chair means you cannot always stretch enough to reach the handle. _ the towel hooks and shelves in the bedroom bathroom were far too high and totally out of reach. Having them at a much lower level would solve the problem.
Location right next to beach. VAVA beach club was really great. Fantastic breakfast buffet. Comfortable bed. It was my birthday and the hotel gave us cava, cake, fresh fruit and chocolates plus a special treat of a massage in the spa. Thank you hotel Valentin for a very enjoyable stay!
Location with beach nearby Two pools with one being quieter with less kids activities, Good restaurants within hotel complex, Handy pool bars with friendly staff
Had an issue with ants in our room. There was severely limited free parking around the hotel The buffet was expensive if you had not booked half or full board options.
