This place was amazing, from the food to the staff. We enjoyed our entire stay. This is a place where you can relax and unwind. It is small enough that you get a chance to get to know the staff.
There is not one negative thing about this place, nor the food, nor the staff. It was just amazing.
Staff were friendly, and good location (in rundown urban area but only 5-10 minutes walk to night markets, bars and temples)
Room and bedding looked nice on arrival, but when getting into bed at 11.30pm the sheets were FILTHY covered in brown stains! On complaining to reception they came to change bedding immediately, but not a good impression. The photos of rooms are accurate, but furniture on closer inspection is more shabby than chic and rooms are far smaller than implied. Breakfast is great if you like eggs, but very limited if you dont. In March the pools were freezing.
A little oasis off the main street. Public areas surrounded by trees and plants and birdlife made it feel off the beaten track even though it was right next to a busy road into the old city. Thai themed with beautiful painted doors to the rooms and brightly coloured lanterns , flags and cushions decorating the outdoor areas. Staff super friendly . We were picked up from the train station early in the morning and could check in to our room straight away. Which was an unexpected bonus. Breakfast - varied options of hot food cooked to order.
A bit noisey with traffic and some aircraft noise even at night. The surrounding shops and restaurants are mainly traditional thai and not designed for tourists. But if you want to see a bit of local life and eat a local meal for under a pound then try them out. We walked into the old city one day, then used the hotel transport or GrabTaxi app after that .
