Pros: The car was nice and had no issuesCons: Pick up took an hour. Staff member was kind but very slow and easily distracted and then we had to wait for car to be fully cleaned. After renting I called to try to adjust reservation and was told it couldn’t be adjusted at all so I had to change plans even though hertz states it can be changed.

Friendly but....Pros: Staff was very friendly and made a switch in vehicles on a moments notice for us to a more acceptable vehicle. The second vehicle was a pleasant and welcome surprise.Cons: We had a reservation for a "Mid-sized" SUV for 0700. We got there 15 minutes late, waited in line for 5 minutes (no problem), and then had to wait for 5 minutes while they cleaned the car!!! I guess the reservation did not mean much as far as time. The more important issue was that they assigned us a Chevy Trak - which is a very small SUV. I don't know how anyone could remotely consider it a "mid-sized SUV." To their credit they switched us to a Nissan Rogue - which was a very nice "mid-sized SUV."

DissappointedCons: I arrived for pick up only to learn the office closed at the time of the prepaid reservation. How can a reservation be approved for a time when they are not available and no mention is made when the money is charged??? The rep was incredibly short and provided no assistance. Though the office was open and the computers still one, she stated that her system was down and I was late for my vehicle pick up. I requested to pick up the car on their next business day and she stated the reservation was lost. All about business and taking your money. No concern for the mistake made on their end for allowing the reservation and making no correction/mention when the money was charged. There were 3 other customers there receiving support, but somehow while my car should've been ready for pick up, I was denied. Will never rent from Hertz again.

Understaffed OfficePros: Car was comfortable and spacious for a family ski trip.Cons: The Walnut Creek location was understaffed on Saturday morning for both my pickup and return. Waiting 30 minutes for reserves car pickup is not acceptable. When I turned the car in, they needed to use My car to drop someone else off (who had been waiting at least 20 minutes for a one mile ride) and didn’t bother to close out my contract! I didn’t realize this until I received another credit card charge the next day and called the National Hertz number. Please staff the location appropriately so your customers don’t have a very poor customer service experience.

Non-working hertz supportPros: The car itself was fine; only minor things: I expected that full-size car in the US would have had navigation, parking assistant and climate control, but it had only AC and B/W screen.Cons: There was a big misunderstanding with Hertz support. From their rental terms & conditions it is said that in California Hertz will provide statutory minimum liability insurance for international customers, but at the counter and 6-7 different people in support couldn't help me with that. I didn't understand the difference between the minimum insurance and LIS (liability insurance supplement) and I was really disappointed that they could not provide me the promised insurance. I thought I didn't have insurance at all, tried to buy it from third-party insurance companies (with no success), called American friends for help etc. It seems like their support cannot work with non-typical cases. In the end, it went fine (thankfully, I didn't need insurance), but for few days I was really angry and dissatisfied and didn't know what to do.

Pros: The staff was helpful and accommodating. The car was comfortable and efficient.Cons: Condition on the car upon pickup could have use a let more detailed cleaning. Dusty in areas, crumbs from prior use and even a few used napkins left in side doors.

Pros: The overall process was excellent. Staff, Company and company to customer was excellent.Cons: Not sure what features were available in Jeep model. - We were 7000+ feet on climb which our SUV handled well. When it came to steep decline (coming down the mountain), the button to turn on decline going 5 mph feature was disabled. My concern on steep decline from 7000+ feet was a concern if I would burn the braking system. Not sure if this is a feature that needs to be purchased, but at the same time there was a risk. Overall: Great SUV and would recommend to others.

Good customer service-however trouble with pick upPros: The customer service agent Brendan was very good. I had rented with him before. I would recommend this location despite the problems we had with the car being ready. The car we rented was a pleasure to drive.Cons: Car wasn't ready for pick up even though I had confirmed it on the weekend prior. As a result, I had to wait for the car to arrive from a different location. Having said that though, the car arrived quickly, and I was checked out very rapidly.

Pros: Easy rental, great car, friendly customer service. The online reservation process was easy. I arrived at Enterprise early, assuming paperwork and other logistics would take some time. Five minutes later I was confirmed and informed I'd have to wait a bit for my car which had not yet arrived. Another five minutes and I was offered a free upgrade to a larger—and what turned out to be better—vehicle for my weeklong trip. I did not experience any issues with the vehicle and did not require any assistance during my trip. An hour before the reservation was due to end, I called to see if there was a possibility of extending by one day. Again, not even five minutes later, the reservation was confirmed. Returning the car was easy and I was even offered a ride to my next destination. Carless, the offer was much appreciated.

A godsend!Pros: I'm 21 years old and when my radiator abruptly cracked midweek, I panicked -- I had no feasible means of transit to get to school and work. They rent to people under 25 for a very minor fee! I was shocked by how little I had to pay, and they made every step of the process painless. I had such a fantastic experience with them: they were trustworthy, listened to me, and tried to save my money (he was straight-up about how much additional services would cost and did not try to sell anything to me). He even marked the quarter-tank of gas left in the tank as "empty" on the paperwork so I wouldn't have to spend money to refill it. PHENOMENAL experience and I don't know what I would have done without them!

Pros: Staff was nice and easy to work with.Cons: Found trash throughout the car. Not small crumbs, but center counsel was full of junk and found straws between seats. The vehicle was not a full tank, which is annoying when picking up a car.

Pros: Nice check in Clerk though very busy. I got a great price and was lucky to get an upgrade to a brand new Volkswagen. Amazing price from Amazon and Avis. The clerk says Avis has their own insurance for $11 which would be easier if you had a problem because they will say they take care of instead of going through a third-party

Pros: I had the available to have a car but that is it.Cons: The care rented was a Truck that was burning oil it smelled horrible the tires were old. As we did the drop off we had to go up stairs because we rented the car from Concord with a drop off at SFO airport paperwork was not done correctly for that and I paid way too much money for this car I am extremely disappointed. Plus I took the $30 insurance coverage. I actually drove to San Fran parked the car at my son's and took uber around because the smell was bad. I am a travel agent from OKT --33644332 I would appreciate some type of compinsation in this matter .Plus the fact that your counter help seem some what displaced in providing information. Thank you kindly.
