Friendly staff, loved the Chrysler 300.Cons:
My initial flight was delayed so I called asking if I could pick up the car the next day, I was told it wouldn't be a problem but the person I spoke with didn't ask my name or reservation number. When I got there the next day, there were no Chrysler 300's available and I got a Kia Optima that smelled like body odor. I was able to take it to the airport Avis and get the Chrysler thankfully, and everyone was great that I dealt with, but obviously it would have been ideal to get the car I requested at the location I planned. Otherwise I would have just gone to the airport spot.10,0 Wonderful

Hi I was deeply disappointed to learn that I'm not insured against 3rd party liability! The rental price went up by 14$/day which was no longer a bargain. Kindly, change the information provided to the customer. I'd also appreciate a remedy from your side for the incurred $14x13 days expenses. Plus, I received no offer to prepay tolls - so I'd be paying more after.5,6 Fair

The car smelled like cigarette and I could not change it because it was the only they had at the pick up location. I used it for a 5 hour trip, and I had to buy car deodorizer and even with that the scent was strong.Hertz

Pick up was super easy and the car was great and really cleanCons:
When picking up the car, the Hertz representatives never once let us know that the location would be closed on the return day. When we went to drop off the car, I had to call customer service 3 times. The key drop off box had been stolen and missing for what looked like a long time, judging by the screws on the ground and imprint of the box on the wall. After waiting 20 minutes on the line with the roadside assistance team, I eventually had to lock the keys in the car and leave so I didn't miss my flight. The team needs to communicate better about drop off/procedures especially if the location is closed on the day of return.2,0 Poor

First, this rental facility is off airport property. There is NO shuttle from the airport, which I was unaware of. I had to take a taxi for $30! I rented a "full size car", a Chevy Malibu. The car was trashed! It took myself and a Hertz employee almost 15 minutes to document all the previous damage to the vehicle. It was covered in dents, scratches. The rims were damaged from grinding on curbing and were filthy. The Hertz employee told me the car was damaged "during Spring Break" rentals. The inside of the car was clean with the exception of the interior glass. I would have refused the vehicle under any other circumstances but I was pressed with time so after carefully documenting, including photos, the damage I accepted it. I was returning the vehicle at 4:00AM because of an early flight. I then was told that this particular Hertz has NO drop box! I was told that I could return the vehicle this to the airport at an additional cost of over $50! Once again, I had no choice. I had to take the hit. Rent from this Hertz at your own peril.10,0 Wonderful

Car was dirty on outside a quick wipe down was done prior to my arrival however it was still very dusty. Inside of vehicle were carpet stains, build up of food in cup holders and faint smell of cigarette smoke. Vehicle would stutter sporadically while on the road. It was the BIGGEST NIGHTMARE EVER. They didn’t have a car available for my Saturday reservation, they had me come back Sunday and again didn’t have a car available then either. And all this I was dragging my 5 month old son in a car seat taking a Uber back and forth with him to get a car, until finally they told me I had to go to the airport location to get a car and that was done Sunday night after taking another Uber with my son to the airport to get a car. IT WAS A TOTAL TOTAL NIGHTMARE. And I didn’t enjoy any parts of it at all...3,6 Poor

Didn't have vehicle, sent me to another location an hour away at my own cost and charged me extra to rent from there. Reason provided for not giving me vehicle: "Meh, the people who deliver vehicles to our location don't care." Most horrid rental experience of my life. They had no cars available, even after accepting our reservation and confirming via phone that they had the cars. When I showed up there were no cars. The entire team's mentality was "not my problem". A couple not from the US needed a way to get to Orlando and was asking about a gray hound or some sort of bus, the best help they could offer was "use your phone and Google it yourselves". The team would take any opportunity to open their phones and look at Facebook, even if you were mid conversation.2,0 Poor

They did not have enough cars for customers, blamed spring break. Stranded people were upset. I got a car as a favor it seemed. But it was old and dirty inside and out (while Covid-19 is still going on), it felt gross, I wiped driver's area myself. I had to ask to get the dirty glasses cleaned. Also dashboard signaled car needing service. Card processing tool was malfunctioning. I had to ask how tolls work in Florida, no info offered. Gave me wrong closing time (on paper, and verbally by the kind but uninformed rep who processed my pick-up) thus I found location closed at drop-off! The representative locked in the office was reluctant to offer assistance. Stressful. It all felt chancy, unreliable, unsettling.Cons:
Should be prepared with sufficient vehicles to match bookings. Clean the cars well. Have knowledgeable and proactive staff. Have consistency in published business hours on all platforms. Provide right info on paper. Have an automated system to send a alert text to renters with drop-off location and time the day before. And, answer the phone!!2,0 Poor
