Pick up was super easy and the car was great and really cleanWhen picking up the car, the Hertz representatives never once let us know that the location would be closed on the return day. When we went to drop off the car, I had to call customer service 3 times. The key drop off box had been stolen and missing for what looked like a long time, judging by the screws on the ground and imprint of the box on the wall. After waiting 20 minutes on the line with the roadside assistance team, I eventually had to lock the keys in the car and leave so I didn't miss my flight. The team needs to communicate better about drop off/procedures especially if the location is closed on the day of return.

Nothing. I would never rent from this particular Hertz again and I don't recommend anyone rent from them.First, this rental facility is off airport property. There is NO shuttle from the airport, which I was unaware of. I had to take a taxi for $30! I rented a "full size car", a Chevy Malibu. The car was trashed! It took myself and a Hertz employee almost 15 minutes to document all the previous damage to the vehicle. It was covered in dents, scratches. The rims were damaged from grinding on curbing and were filthy. The Hertz employee told me the car was damaged "during Spring Break" rentals. The inside of the car was clean with the exception of the interior glass. I would have refused the vehicle under any other circumstances but I was pressed with time so after carefully documenting, including photos, the damage I accepted it. I was returning the vehicle at 4:00AM because of an early flight. I then was told that this particular Hertz has NO drop box! I was told that I could return the vehicle this to the airport at an additional cost of over $50! Once again, I had no choice. I had to take the hit. Rent from this Hertz at your own peril.

Nothing at all, Hertz said they needed a soft credit check in order to rent a car.Do the same as other agencies like Alamo that I had been and will return to, and if you have the funds rent the vehicle.

Staff friendly.The car was dirty and smelled like heavy air freshener. There was something wrong with the steering or wheel alignment, which made the trip difficult at night in rain and wind. The Clearwater airport office traded it out for a decent vehicle, but the Coral Gables office never should have put that car on the road.

just okWell, I was to drop off on Sunday by 5pm. I was there they were closed, so mis information. I dropped off the car and keys hopefully they won't charge me extra!

Pros and Cons, but I will use Hertz again.Great price by going just a few miles off the airport - huge savings for my six week rental. When someone backed into the vehicle, the process was handled professionally and I had a new vehicle just a short time later.The car smelled like vomit on the first day that the sun came out - I had it detailed and then had to spread coffee grounds under the floor mats and in the trunk to finally get rid of the smell. When my plans changed and I considered driving home instead of flying, I was informed that it would cost $6000 extra to turn it into a one way rental according to the call center, which is obviously overseas. Having a call center overseas makes the process to obtain assistance WAY too long - you can't just say what you need, they have to follow the script. This is terrible from a customer service standpoint. From now on I will just ask for an American from the start, it was such an improvement each time I did.
