Pros:

I think I was upgraded to a full size vehicle (Ford Taurus) from the compact car I originally requested, without any additional cost. I appreciate how Enterprise has a key drop off for after hour drop offs. I've rented from this Enterprise several times and have never had an issue.

Cons:

Enterprise could use a parking stall for renters to be dropped off and picked up

The lady at the front desk was very unfriendly when I went in to pick my rental up ..I was told on the phone by customer service that it wouldn’t be a problem that I didn’t have a credit card to put down for the deposit on the rental . I would just need to pay a little bit extra money because I didn’t have one so I would just have to pay it an extra deposit through my debit Visa card, and when I went to go pick it up, she said “no that’s not happening” and then turned her back and walked away on me. Needless to say I did not pick up the rental because I did not have a credit card for the deposit.

They weren't open at the time of my rental so I was unable to pick up the car. My pick up was booked for 3 and I arrived at 3:03 and they were closed.

They just ditch me after going to budget office even 30 min. Before my booking. Said we did not receive any booking, your booking just showed up now and we do not have car, But i booked way before than that. Worst experience. Don’t use price line, their booking is not taken as priority by the budget or other rental brands.

Unfortunately thrifty charged us for the extra insurance even though our booking we did online had already charged us for this. When I discovered this they would not give me any money back so I paid far too much for this car rental.

Drop off location had no customer parking they were clearing snow at noon when it should be done in off hours, I had to walk through freezing cold weather and the staff were in professional and tried to charge more than the rental contract. Did not recieve a copy of completed contract.

This experience is enough for me to remember to never use thrifty again. First of all, my pickup time was listed as 4pm. We got held up at customs so I called the pickup office at 4:03 to let them know we would be there very soon but there was no answer. Called multiple times and could not get ahold of someone. As we were about to get into a taxi to go to their location I see somewhere that their listed closing time is 4pm. So we get out of the taxi and I call customer service to verify before I haul myself and my family out to their office. I spoke to a customer service rep who them put me on hold for 20 minutes!!!! When they returned to the line it was a completely different representative who I had to repeat everything to. She began checking for other rental options but was unable to find anything. She did tell me my rental was available for 24 hours so we could go there when they opened at 7am. Only problem is that we had not planned to stay in town! We had planned to drive 4 hours to our hotel, so we were left trying to rearrange our plans as well as paying for a hotel room. The following morning I took an Uber to the pickup location and told them about not being able to pickup our vehicle yesterday because our pickup time was their closing time. The rep says, “oh I was here until 5pm”. Ok, that’s great, why didn’t you pickup the phone then?!? Whatever, I got the vehicle and right away noticed an OVERWHELMING soap smell. Like it smelled like they had grated an entire bar or zest in the car. I took the car and figured I just needed to air it out. So the more time passed we realized that they had been trying to cover up the smell of smoke. So the soapy smell went away and for the whole rest of our trip the car reeked of smoke. We had a Kia forte which we thought was kind of noisy, maybe it’s just the car I don’t know but gas efficiency seemed to be really good. That’s everything. I will be writing to thrifty customer service to see if they’ll credit me a day of car rental as well as losing my one night at the hotel we paid for. I’ll update on the results here.

The car we selected wasn’t available, they apparently only had one car in stock available (even though the lot was full) and it was a luxury option, which was a gas guzzler. We asked for an economical option, which they said they couldn’t. Our trip involved driving for 4-6hrs a day, which ended up costing us over 1/3 more in gas. Our drop off point was in a different city, and I believe they wanted to send the vehicle to that location using us.

They did not ask before selling insurance that if we already had an insurance bought online while booking, so we end up buying 2 insurances.
