The Hertz office location needs better signage, including directional signage. It is in the back of a large car dealership and repair facility, and while there is a small Hertz sign under the dealership sign once you get in the parking lot you have no idea how to find it. I had to go into the dealership and ask and I still drive around for several minutes before I found it.2,0 Poor

We didn’t even get to pick up the rental car and were left scrounging for a car to fit 7 at the last minute. We visited the location on the Tuesday before pick up to insure it’ll be a smooth pickup because the vehicle was paid with my credit card but was registered under my boyfriends name. They guy working at Hertz at that time said it would be no problem, I did not need to be present, my boyfriend just needed to fill out a couple of papers on the day of pick up and all set to go. Well Saturday comes around and my boyfriend goes to pick up the car with my credit card in hand just in case they ask for it, and they wouldn’t allow him to pick up the car without me present. The guy who was there Tuesday was denying the fact we were ever there or ever even spoke to him. They wanted me to meet my boyfriend at Hertz, meanwhile I was at work for a 12 hr shift as a cardiac stroke nurse, hence the reason my boyfriend was registered to pick it up. Because I couldn’t make it there, the only option was for my boyfriend to redo the reservation under his name and pay with his card, however, Hertz wouldn’t price match and it would’ve been $250 more than we were paying. Overall terrible experience. If there policy is that the payment and the registration need to be under the same name, then they shouldn’t allow people to book it otherwise. And they definitely shouldn’t have there employees say it would be no issue when we checked ahead of time that it would be a smooth process.7,6 Good

Arrived 30 minutes before closing... ask for a cab so our 3 kids ( 5 months old) would not have to wait outside.....employe called last minute.....employe kicked us out with our baby on a 98degre day around noon... so it could close and go to his friend s party.........2,0 Poor

Reserved for convertible- was told none was available. This is I spite of reserving it several months in advance. No attempt to try to find another vehicle in surrounding areas. Asked to call central reservation number for budget - they were no help at all. Did not even offer to reduce rates as promised vehicle was not available. Very poor service.Avis

Worst experience with a rental company I have ever had. Was not able to retrieve my rental car because even though I had a reservation they decided to give my car away. Missed my best friends wedding because surrounding car rental companies were too expensive to buy the day of. Could have figured out a different option had I known my reservation would not be honored.Cons:
