Keep your headlights if heavy fog and other weather conditions reduce your visibility to 500 feet. Always yield to pedestrians, cyclists, and other vehicles if it is signposted or if doing so could prevent an accident. Also, always yield to service vehicles such as road maintenance and waste collection that have come to a stop or have their lights flashing.
  • Driving car rentals in Royal Oaks can be easy but has a fair share of hurdles. Rush hour is a prime time for motorized accidents and long delays. For this reason, consider driving during off-peak hours. The rush hour peaks between 7 am to 9 am and 4 pm to 6 pm However, if you must drive during these hours, avoid the city’s traffic hotspots like Woodward Avenue, Crooks Road, South Main Street, West 13 mile road, and East 11 Mile Road.

Extra trips were made, from hotel to this location, due to the fact that it wasn’t specified that they don’t take debit for a deposit hold, only credit. Also they only have the chip reader for the credit card, we had to make a separate trip because they don’t have tap to touch. What originally was a 9 o’clock pick up ended up to be an 11 AM pick up. They did upgrade us, but the fact of the matter is we had another rental to turn in with a different company and because these specifics of their franchise weren't posted anywhere online, it affected us negatively.
