The vehicle was great for what we needed. Very comfortable. Was great having heated seats/leather interior and up to date technology.Upon pick up there were still candy wrappers from the pervious owners, and a few dirty spots in the car, which I ended up purchasing cleaning wipes for and wiping down myself, given “COVID” these days, I played it safe.

very accommodatingAfter I got re-routed to a different airport, my 24-year-old son had to pick up our car instead. I was worried because I thought you had to be 25 to rent. There was a small fee associated with it, but he was able to pick up our car with no problems, last minute. Thank you!

Comfortable little car with some nice acessories. I would rent that size again.Did not like the color. Black showed a lot of dirt. Do not like the gas feature of when the car is idling and turns off car to conserve gas.

Late flightOur flight was delayed by over an hour and by the time we landed the rental counter was closed. I was unable to contact them due to the fact that I followed the rules by turning my cell phone off once the cabin door was closed. I feel that hertz should ensure all flights are in prior to closing. I call customer service and told it was completely my fault and I was left stranded over 60 miles from final destination. I was only told to get a hotel room and wait til morning. This would all have cost me more money that I was not willing to spend. I will never rent from hertz again even as a last resort.

Carol was awesome!Carol, the receptionist in Syracuse at pick-up was phenomenal! Engaging, knowledgeable and helpful. Rate was incredible and size of car for the metal class was great. Maybe the best rental car experience I have had.Nothing.

Happy with Experience, Would use again.It only took about 15 mins. total to check in and pick up car. Not pushy on insurance or extras. Vehicle was excellent, not one problem. got an SUV and the gas mileage was much better than expected.I wish he'd spent a little more time showing me the important accessories, it started to rain on the way home and I couldn't figure out the wipers until I got home, but I did know how to drop the back seats and turn on the seat warmers. Some of this on me, I was in a hurry. Overall, great experience.

It was freezing cold out and we walked to our Thrifty rental place andNothingThe place where we rented the car had been closed for 3 months. We are very very disappointed. Walked in the freezing cold and wasn't able to have a car to start our vacation off with very disappointing. Was never told.

Thrifty Car Rental at Syracuse Airport CLOSEDMade reservations on 1/21/18 for rental dates of 2/16 to 2/20. When we arrived at the airport on the morning of 2/16, we were informed by other car rental agencies that Thrifty had closed up permanently about a week prior, not only at the airport location but at all locations that the one franchisee/owner operated. We were not informed by any means, which left us scrapping for another car. We were able to obtain one through Budget/Avis, but unfortunately we were unable to get the size car we wanted. Any car is better than no car, but had the Thrifty franchisee/location owner informed us at the time they closed, we would have been able to search out a car from another agency. Poor management and ownership representation. Would like to give ZERO stars.

Should have driven my own car and risked breaking downBluetoothI paid almost $400 for 3.5 days. If the car was at least midsize it would have been almost worth it, but it was a tiny compact Ford Fiesta and I felt carsick the entire time driving it! Mind you this was almost $400 without ANY coverage. $25 extra per day because I’m under 25 years old. I will never rent from thrifty again.

No car despite reservationnot one thing.We arrived to the airport only to learn that there was no car available for us despite holding a reservation for weeks. No notification. No offer to remedy the situation. Terrible service. Will never use Thrifty again.

Bait and switchRate advertised when booked was special, "compact" - to be a vehicle "compact or larger" to be determined upon arrival. Upon check-in attendent said that rate was for whichever vehicle they have the most of, which in this case was 12-passenger vans. Driving a 12 passenger van was a rediculous option for my purpose, so I asked for a compact vehicle. She said they had none. The only other viable vehicle available was a luxury, which they said they would discount. Cost ended up being $310 instead of booked rate of $120. I'm very unhappy and diasappointed. Also after getting vehicle I smelled, and noticed marijuana crumbs on center console storage area.

Transmission system repeat failureCar was clean,Two hours into a drive that should have taken 4.5hours the transmission started to fail and there was no acceleration. Called roadside assistance but because I was in rural NY there were no pick-up locations nearby. I rented this vehicle to make a flight out of LGA and if I had waited for roadside assistance to finally get to me I would miss the flight. Despite repeatedly "resetting" the transmission I was only able to drive 40mph and even slower uphill. The drive was unsafe and unpleasant and what was a 4.5 hour drive became a 6 hour drive.
