Pros:
It only took about 15 mins. total to check in and pick up car. Not pushy on insurance or extras. Vehicle was excellent, not one problem. got an SUV and the gas mileage was much better than expected.Cons:
I wish he'd spent a little more time showing me the important accessories, it started to rain on the way home and I couldn't figure out the wipers until I got home, but I did know how to drop the back seats and turn on the seat warmers. Some of this on me, I was in a hurry. Overall, great experience.2,0 Poor

Cons:
When I signed up for the car which was a one way trip from NY to NC it asked me when I would pick up the vehicle and when I would drop it off. I entered 8:00am pickup on Sunday, drop off before 6:00pm Monday. I dropped off at 4:00pm. Hertz didn't have that information so instead of paying $216 I wound up paying $390 and I am less than happy. $15.75/hr plus addl for anything over 24 hrs. Find this unfair and wrong. Upon pick up there were still candy wrappers from the pervious owners, and a few dirty spots in the car, which I ended up purchasing cleaning wipes for and wiping down myself, given “COVID” these days, I played it safe.2,0 Poor

Two hours into a drive that should have taken 4.5hours the transmission started to fail and there was no acceleration. Called roadside assistance but because I was in rural NY there were no pick-up locations nearby. I rented this vehicle to make a flight out of LGA and if I had waited for roadside assistance to finally get to me I would miss the flight. Despite repeatedly "resetting" the transmission I was only able to drive 40mph and even slower uphill. The drive was unsafe and unpleasant and what was a 4.5 hour drive became a 6 hour drive.Car hire locations in or near Oswego
