a great rental experiencePros: Renting a car in Japan is a little adventurous, if only because one drives on the left and directions in Japanese are not so easy to follow if one doesn't speak and read that language. That is why having the rental car company switch the built-in GPS to English without extra cost and even without getting asked is a significant customer service achievement! The vehicle was ready at the appointed time, it took very little time to complete the paperwork (I had done this before, and the agent spoke just enough English for everything but to be smooth), and the return was equally unproblematic. I can highly recommend Times Car Rental.Cons: There were no problems of any kind.
