Arrived at the rental counter to be informed that I would have to wait 60-90 minutes for a car to be brought from the dispatch center as they did not store cars on site, and the car wouldn't get there before counter closed at 5pm, so I'd need to come back the following day. I had a reservation.2,8 Poor

They didn’t have the car I reserved. They token me to take what they had or nothing. I could not use maybe debit card without “proof of residency.” They were severely understaffed.5,2 Fair

Cons:
The location I booked for the pickup didn’t have a premium car. I spoke to the location the day before pickup and everything way as planned. The day of pickup, I get a phone call explaining they don’t have a premium car, but I can drive an extra 5 miles to get one. That’s fine. Only they didn’t tell me it would be more because of all the airport fees. Seems to me they had a few weeks to move a car from the airport to the location I rented from and all of this could’ve been avoided.9,6 Wonderful

Pros:
No staff was not friendly, Thirfty didn't have any cars/trucks available. Told us we could be put on a waiting list and sit and wait for someone to maybe return a vehicle. This is unacceptable for you to allow a reservation for a specific time and there be no cars available. There were a lot of customers up there waiting. We cancelled the reservation and went with another company.Cons:

Pros:
I made the reservation for the vehicle 2 months prior to the pick up date. When we arrived in Memphis Airport we were told there were no vehicles available. The Thrifty agent said they were cleaning vehicles when they came in and it would be approx 2-3 hours before a vehicle was available!! We waited almost 3 hours for a car!!!!! The Thrifty agent was completely matter of fact and didn't even apologize for the inconvenience. I will NEVER rent from this company again!Cons:

it was a 3 hour wait for a car. actually, they couldn't give us an actual time on how long it would be until our car was ready. the only good thing was that the lady working the counter allowed us to cancel our reservation without any questions asked (good on you, whoever you are!!). we went to another company and they told us that they do this ALL THE TIME4,0 Mediocre

Seats were disgusting. Smell was absolutely horrid! Finally, the third car was ok. All the dashes were dirty, cup holders, floorboards. I wasn't the only one who complained about filth. I also wasn't told about a $200 deposit held on my card until returned. I usually rent from Dollar and their cars, cloth seats and all, are immaculate.10,0 Wonderful
