There was no car waiting for me, and I was not notified. Since Hertz did not electronically cancel the reservation despite my request, the money I paid for car insurance (automatically when I made the reservation) was not refunded. Hertz had my email and phone number. They could have informed me of the absence of a rental car, and I would not have wasted a lot of time and some money.

Seemed like a bait and switch when they didn't have the small car that we reserved, normally we would be given another car for same price. Also the other company across the street included the insurance. We probably will avoid Hertz in the future.
