Pros:
The price. But I won't rent again from here given the risk of getting charged extra for damage I did not cause.Cons:
1- Pick was a pain. First they could not find the reservation which I had made on kayak.com and we had to wait for it to come through. Eventually it did, but it's silly that they could not just start a new reservation using the same rate instead of wasting our time. Also, the agent claimed we had to bring back the car at the time which we reserved pick up (not the time when we actually got the car) or we will be charged another day at the non-kayak rate which was almost double. 2- Next, they told us we could not rent without proof of address in Australia (where we do not live). Then told us we will be required to bring someone with an Australian address to sign off on the rental because they could not send a bill to an address overseas - that was complete BS and in the end using our overseas address was okay 3- Excess for any damage (even a little scratch) was quoted at $4000. When we returned the car, they tried to charge us for scratches that were already on the car - which we had ALREADY pointed out during the inspection at pick up. Luckily, the person who did the original inspection was there and clarified that the scratches had already been on the car when we picked it up. An overall unpleasant experience to be honest. I usually go with hertz but decided to give thrifty a try since they are cheap and now I see why. You totally get what you pay for!Atlas Car & Truck Rental
