When I picked up the vehicle, the lady that helped me was polite, I got a 2019 Toyota Camry, very nice car, superb and comfortable ride but the vehicle was dirty, all the windows were stained with water spots and the inside smelled like cigarette smoke. When I left the rental place I started driving on the freeway towards San Diego and had been driving for less than an hour when the maintenance light came on advising me to take it to be serviced. When I returned the car with a full tank and clean, the girl said there were cigarette ashes in ash tray and accused me of smoking inside the car. I don't smoke neither does my wife and I told her that is the way they gave me the car. She finished with the paper work and gave me the papers and told me here you go and turned around. No thank you or anything else. Not very professional. Thank youThe vehicle was very nice, It could have been a little cleaner, the girl behind the counter had a little bad attitude, she tried to blame me for smoking in the car. I know a couple other friends that rent cars regularly and they also complain about the service.

NOTHING!!! It was like a broken record, "We can't rent any more cars today." No one said they were sorry or made any attempt to help anyone find an alternative means of transportation.Someone could have helped me get a car. There had been an accident that knocked out the power. The ONLY WORDS anyone would say was, "We can't rent any more cars today." I asked how I was supposed to get to SFO for my flight, the reply was the same. I had less than 2hrs to make other arrangements.

I requested a refund, the days that we booked for the rental you had no rental available, I ended up not wanting the car and was still charged

Staff friendlinessArrived on time but they didn't have a car ready. asked me to wait two hours for the car I wanted (full size) Took an alternative (Nissan rogue) which was fine but they seemed to scrutinize every little scratch with pics which took additional time and made me feel like they were preparing to find damage when I returned it. Wanted to drop it off early but there isnt a key drop box. It just didn't feel very professional. With such little cars and all of the above mentioned I don't believe I will go there again.

The manager, David, did try accommodate for how busy they were and that my car was not ready, despite being on time for my appointment.It took 45 minutes to get my rental. There were 10 people waiting and only 2 employees. They did not have a car ready for me. After waiting even longer, they were able to find me a car. The vehicle did not have a full tank. I returned it with a full tank, but was given no credit for it.

Modesto airport hertz is TERRIBLENothingDirty cars. Dented cars. Broken seatbelts . Loud obnoxious employees more concerned with their lunches than helping customers. They screwed up the return time and place which is screwing up the bill. Never again.

Worst service ever!Nothing.I did not even pick up the car. I went to get it and the girls at the counter were so rude and told us there were no cars available. We had booked the night before and were under the impression we could pick the car up anytime after 9am. One of our children woke up sick and needed to be taken care of, so we didn’t show up to pick the car up until 10am. The two girls at the counter were so incredibly rude and would not even speak to us directly or help us. They then proceeded to talk about inappropriate things like smoking weed, after telling us we could take a seat and wait for a car with no indication of when one might come in. We switched to Avis/Budget, which turned out to be a nightmare as well but at least they were willing to get us in a car to get home.
