I didn't get a confirmation call until a little over an hour before I was due to pick up. If I hadn't called back, I wouldn't have known what to bring due to using a debit card.2,0 Poor

Cons:
Made a reservation the evening before. Show up at scheduled pick up time at 10am and informed that my reservation is there but there are no cars available. Was told they might have a car around 2pm but I should call a different branch to see if they have cars. Called the other branch, was told they don't have cars until 1pm. So I asked the original branch employee if I can just come back at 2pm and pick up a car here, I was told people with higher priority than me have reserved cars already for today. I asked if there is no way for me to get a car here today and if I should make other arrangements and was told they were trying to get more cars brought in from Atlanta but the earliest they would get them is at 3:30pm. At this point I was ready to leave, not knowing if I need to make other arrangements, or if I will get a car that day. Luckily, somebody decided to drop off their car right as I was leaving and the employee waved me down not to leave yet. I ended up getting their car right then, but it wasn't washed on the outside. The car was great overall. Making a reservation and then not having a car is extremely inconvenient due to the costs of traveling back and forth from the rental place for nothing. If cars are not available, do not offer me a car online and take my reservation.5,6 Fair

Pros:
1) I was happy to be able to rent car the afternoon before for the next morning. 2) Though there was an issue with pickup due to system being down, I appreciated that owner/operator letting me take car after taking picture of my license and credit card for input into system once it was back up again, so I could get on my way. He also provided me free upgrade for the inconvenience and let me choose the car I wanted, which I also appreciated.Cons:
Pickup was at 8:00am and rental office scheduled to open at 8:00am. However, even though he had been there since 7:00am, the owner operator/president didn't open doors until 8:40am since system was not functioning properly due to storm the night before. We had talked to him at 8:05am on phone and asked if he could at least open the doors to let us sit inside since it was cold (there were two parties waiting); he said he would but didn't until over a half hour later after we had called him again.10,0 Wonderful

Very quick and easy to pick-up and drop-off car. I didn't realize I got a small rental car and they were able to switch me to a bigger vehicle which I greatly appreciated.2,0 Poor

Only one person in office traveled 45 minutes to pick up confirmed reservaton when I arrive was told no cars sorry. He said I could wait around the rest of the day maybe one would be returned Worst rental exoerience in my life..Cons:

Went to the site at scheduled time and due to cars being sent for oil changes, no car was available and wouldn’t be until at least an hour or so. I offered to go to another location. Got to second location and informed them I need a trunk and not a hatchback and was informed since I booked third party that is all that was available. The demeanor of the employee was that I was asking for too much. He didn’t offer to upgrade me, even for a charge, he let me walk out and go across the street to enterprise. I was now an over past my rental time and an hour late getting on the road.10,0 Wonderful

The car worked great, overall experience of pickup and dropoff was fine.Cons:
The car was dirty (dusty, not gross) on the inside, dirty on the outside, and the fuel tank was at 3/8. We returned it at full so Hertz got some extra gas on us, and wouldn't give us any compensation. If it was the other way around you guys would have charged us - seems unfair!One location in Canton

I didn't like that the amount of the rental was paid at pick-up. I was in a situation where initially, when I made the reservation, it looked like I might need an extra day for the rental. It turns out I didn't. I was charged for the extra day anyway and misinformed at pickup that payment was due at2,0 Poor

The minivan I reserved for our family trip in Canton, GA was not available when I went to pick it up. They said they had been trying to call me all day which was not true. I received one phone call while in a meeting and no voicemail was left. Not recognizing the number I didn't try to return the call. When I arrived the manager showed me what he had available, none of which were any bigger than the vehicle we already own. By this time it was too late to find an alternative, so we had to reduce our luggage and sit in an uncomfortable cramped car of our own instead of enjoying the space that would've been afforded by a minivan. I then phoned Budget national to register my complaint and I got nothing but a cliched apology with no offer to do anything about it.10,0 Wonderful
