Breakfast was adequate to get you going in the morning.
Negotiations with the hotel owner over tour prices were difficult. Make sure you know your prices and ask for a discount if you think the price is too high.
The staff and owner are very accommodating and friendly. The location is very safe and convenient. The atmosphere that the marble tiles give really add a special feel. The rooms are spacious and have everything you need. I'll also mention the great antique building. Cairo inn is very clean, bed and pillows are comfortable with beautiful bedding. The hotel is very clean I liked it a lot. Ice cold bottles of water were always available. Welcoming attitude. Honest with costs regarding tours and services, which were offered without the usual high-pressure sales tactics so common in Egypt. The owner/manager is very friendly and helpful. While there I booked a private English guide and a car to go to Saqqara, Memphis, and Giza. Perfectly organised and a decent price! also the hotel WIFI is really fast, I definitely will be coming back here for sure
The hotel is in a circle 1870 Paris style colonial building on one of the main squares of Cairo. Walk to the museum. I always stay in period hotels in original condition and this fits the bill. Breakfast is good. It’s downtown Cairo so quite noisy but if you don’t like noise you probably should not go to Cairo. I reckon this place is awesome.
The rooms didn’t block our sound from the street at all so it was impossible to sleep until 3am or so. I’m not a light sleeper but this was very very bothersome. The room was fine enough although could’ve been nicer given this was quite expensive for Cairo. The location was fine for walking but as I said terrible for sleeping. The AC leaked in my room which also gave an annoying sound all night. The hotel would be fine if it was cheaper but considering the price I was disappointed. Should’ve paid way less to stay at a hostel instead
Smell in the room.
