Location location location...within walking distance of the lovely waterfront with all the restaurants. The Concierge, Junko, was excellent putting together tours for us. The view from the 14 level was spectacular.
The buffet breakfast that came with the room was more than a "little tired." It was fast asleep. The pancakes and waffles were mealy and inedible. The so-called sausages were mini-hot dogs. The "to order" section was grossly understaffed so lines were long waiting for eggs to order.
Location was convenient
Smelt awful & found a large bug in my bed
Welcoming staff; comfortable and quiet room as per our request. Very pleasant ambience. This was our second stay and the improvement over the first visit in both physical facilities and staff friendliness was considerable.
The pool was fantastic and the gym facility were great.
Our entry cards kept failing - which meant plenty of trips to reception to get it sorted which was a bit of a pain - especially when we had to wait in line. Also - for the price of the rooms, they could update the television sets - they were a bit old and crappy.
The lobby is gorgeous. There is elegant moulding throughout the rooms. Pool appeared large. Room service (spaghetti) serving was small but very delicious (and quick and they called back with a correction to a statement about their menu). I was able to check in early. Location is fantastic. They're next door to shops, grocery store, bar, and casino (including "The Dome"- indoor rainforest), and they're a small block away from the marina (where the reef boats take off from) and fantastic dining (the Pier area). This hotel is a good compromise for still having a nearly high-end experience but saving some money. By U.S. standards it would probably achieve a 3.5 star rating (Aussie ones run higher).
Ac was off (set too high to be on) when I entered the room, so it smelled (I spent 1/2 an hour looking for signs of mold, but didn't see anything that suspicious). Eyelash on pillow, massive build up of soap scum/residue on ledge in shower/bathtub, tables unclean (sticky, food, marks), bathroom floor a bit sticky (but had had a good seemingly recent waxing, so it was very bright/pretty). The room overall was clean just not "that clean".
The fee for having internet access is outrageous (29$/day); also, breakfast is not exactly cheap (25$).
Great location, very beautiful rooms and bathrooms. Good management department who are very prompt.
Hotel delivers what it promises on its website. Palatial, well maintained, well serviced, well everything. Fantastic pool (and service at the pool). Nice rooms, excellent mattresses (you'll want to buy one after sleeping on one!), good views.
I wish I could stay longer there :)
Nice pool area, subject to the comment below.
There are only two umbrellas on the entire pool deck which is a problem given the climate
Location was excellent, good helpful staff, good quality room & furnishings
Did not like having to pay extra for Internet use.
Well priced , clean, friendly staff appropriate for my needs although only a quick visit.
Checking out was a little slow.
The location of the hotel was good, close to the sea and the marina but also close to the center and all shops, restaurants and activities.
There was no pool bar open/available.
