Cons: Very basic for a 5 star. The food was mediocre and the room too small. We were given a room on the ground level and had view of a dirty courtyard. Not 4 star standard let alone the 5 that they seem to hold.

Pros: The ambiance of an old world feeling. Helpful courteous staff. Fabulous breakfast in a brick cave. Elegant lobby. Large well appointed room, comfortable bed with a modern well designed bathroom.

Cons: Room was triple, however they always gave one bottle of water and used to call every morning to deliver the other two bottles. Also, we tried booking with concierge at hotel for palace of parliament but they didn't do so because of information not sent to the concierge guy. Mistake from them.

Pros: Great Value at $95 per night and amazing location. Great staff and super fast and reliable internet. I strongly recommend. The included breakfast is really good . Bucharest is totally worth a visit . It has its unique feeling one will not find anywhere else.

Pros: Rooms are lovely, a nice size, and lots of natural light. Plenty of room to relax in and a nice size bath. Breakfast is always good and they often have gluten free treats as well, which is great for me.

Cons: A bit more breakfast seating at a low level, the showers are still limp, and not really adjustable. The noisy new fridge in the refurbished rooms.

Pros: Big, bright and clean rooms. The bathroom was spacious and well equipped. Comfortable bed and good wifi connection. Nice view of a church from the window. Most of the staff were friendly and helpful, and the location was great too.

Cons: Some of the staff at breakfast were quite rude, standing around talking even though they can see you are waiting, no apologies or smiles. Food was ok, not sure I would have paid extra knowing now what was on offer.

Pros: Location was awesome. Right in old town, easy to walk to a huge variety of shops and restaurants. The included breakfast is not bad with a good variety to accommodate everyone. Liked the Nescafe machine- great coffee.

Cons: The hotel has a bit of a weird set up, where half of the rooms face an internal atrium. If you get one of these rooms you can hear everything going on in the lobby and the restaurant, regardless of whether you have your window open or not. Speaking of which, these internal rooms are very, very hot. There is a thermostat in the room but even if you have it set to the lowest setting (18 degrees) it feels like 25 degrees. I had the manager come up to see if it was broken and he said it was working perfectly and it was a lovely temperature, why didn't I like it? I am a person that runs cold- I am constantly wearing slippers and sweaters and throwing blankets on myself at home- if I'm saying it's hot, it's hotter than most people can take. I tried a different internal room and it was exactly the same and eventually moved to a room on the outside perimeter of the building, these rooms have a window to the outside with fresh air. You can hear a bit of traffic but it's much easier to sleep. They charge something like 40 euros more a night for these rooms, which seemed like a lot considering they are pretty similar, just quieter and not boiling hot. (by the way I had two colleagues staying at the same hotel and they had the same experience- they didn't change rooms and they barely slept all week due to the noise and heat). The internet does not work very well. There are connection issues- particularly with newer apple devices. I have an iPhone X and I was only able to get onto the internet 3 times in my 8 night stay. The manager told me this was a problem with my phone- even though I have never had an issue connecting to the internet anywhere with this phone and I connected to wifi no problem with other restaurants in the area as well as at the airport. I was able to connect with my laptop and iPad without issues. It was fairly fast (on average about 7-10 MBPS up and down) although it's not completely stable- occasionally there are dips so if you are doing a lot of video calls for work, keep that in mind. Housekeeping was mediocre. On the days when I tipped, the room was cleaned ok. On the days I forgot to tip they barely made the bed and threw the towels in a heap in the bathroom. They never replaced my dirty glasses all week and only gave me new water about 50% of the time. Sometimes the empty water bottles were left just sitting there (I left them out so they'd remember to replace them). My colleagues started to put the do not disturb sign on their doors during the day because they felt they could do a better job tidying up than the maids. The hallway lights are on a sensor and sometimes they don't turn on for quite a while so you are walking in the dark which is sort of weird. Breakfast was good- the only negative thing is that the waitresses are very aggressive with requesting you fill in the satisfaction survey so they will interrupt you while you are mid-bite and stand over you until you fill in the survey. Very odd.

Pros: The location was very central. We had a very early checkout so didn't have breakfast. There was a park across the road with an amazing fountain which lit up spectacularly at night. The staff were friendly and helpful.

Cons: The pillow was a bit too hard with no alternative.

Pros: The room was well set up and the beds were comfy. They provided a large bottled water both days. Good reception. Good bathroom.

Cons: Our room was very hot. We asked them to take a look in the morning. They obviously had checked on it but running the air con wasn't doing anything. We had tried it the night before to no avail.Tthe shower bar was loose so it turned which made it hard to fix the shower head in place.

Pros: Excellent location. Clean. Courteous, helpful staff. Although in busy location in city, it was quiet.

Pros: Honestly, I loved the breakfast, especially the scrambled eggs. The cooks took their time to make it beautifully each day, instead of the "powder" version. Location is perfect and the staff were always willing to assist. I love the no smoking policy and the 100 Euro fine. Excellent. The hotel didn't stink.

Breakfast normally €15 pp. We decided to eat out as there are loads of cafes and restaurants about 5 minutes away. The carpet in the room was a bit grubby due a large stain. Also, the grout in the shower was grubby. The double bed was smaller than you would expect for a double room. Otherwise it was ok. You are a 5 minute walk from the bars and restaurants in the Old Town.
