Location. Friendly helpful staff. Great old house if you like that sort of thing with an amazing old iron lift.
We booked twin room, when we arrived it was a small single room with an extra bed squeezed in. You could not walk anywhere inside the room and the extra bed blocked off access to the wardrobe. Only 1 set of towels. 3 lights in the room but only one worked so you couldn't get make-up on. No view as both windows had view of a wall. One of the windows didn't close.
I stayed only for a night
The location is excellent and staff is friendly. The bed was comfortable. There's cold water available in the lobby and cheap beer and soft drinks from a refrigerator. Good value for money, but I would find something else next time.
The standard is very low. Every piece of furniture was old. Weird splatters on the wall. There was a lot of noise from the disgusting back yard. The bathroom was not clean, and with no shower curtain, the entire room was wet with other people's bath water.
The main quality of the hotel was the location: very close to the centre of Bucharest, walking distance to the Old Town, off Calea Victoriei. It's difficult to suggest much else about the place, however.
Where to start!? The room was filthy, with spiders crawling up and down the wall; it looked as though the room hadn't been USED in months, let alone cleaned. While the mattresses were reasonably comfortable, the duvets were heavy and totally inappropriate for the time of year (September). Moreover, within the shared bathroom, only a toilet was in reasonable condition; the shower was basically an open trough that you'd use for a dog. Finally, to cap it all off, we were woken up by two very loud men watching TV in a neighbouring apartment block - even shutting the windows didn't alleviate the sound. Consequently, it's probably the worst night's sleep I've ever had.
Check in good
Shared bathroom very poor and floods romms very noisy
