Large room, great cooked breakfast, really good value for money.
The General Manager, Alan and his staff who did everything to help
the rooms were large and looked recently updated
the cleaniness of the hotel was poor and it looked like it was used as a half way house for people on social services
The staff were very helpful and my room was very spacious and clean and the breakfast was excellent.
You had to pre book an evening meal if required.
Extremely quiet and good value (although I think I got a low rate through booking.com)
Limited facilities (not sure there was even a bar). Wifi was very slow although a good signal reached my room.
Noisy radiators in the middle of the night and the last night party returning from a night out and continued chatting in a room above me at night.
The first night I couldn't sleep at all because someone was going in and out of my next door room which was even supposed to be empty!!
The manager was really friendly, he gave us a guided tour and was always talking to us. He quite happily changed our room to a family room when I told him I had rung up after booking because it showed up on the confirmation as a double room when I wanted a twin.
The hotel staff was very welcoming and helpful
Bed was clean, there was a very large tv in the room.
The toilet was in a cupboard that you could shut the door when you sat down on the toilet. Not enough cups in the room with the tea making facilities. The english breakfast was not english (no bacon or pork sausages in sight).
